Liver trauma with hemodynamic instability is extremely dangerous. Exploratory surgery after fluid resuscitation is a potentially effective method to save lives. Although there have been great advances in laparoscopic techniques for hepatectomy, laparoscopy is rarely used for liver trauma. According to our previous experience, laparoscopic infrahepatic inferior vena cava (IVC) clamping was a safe and effective technique to reduce central venous pressure (CVP) and control bleeding during hepatectomy. In this article, we described a case of grade V liver trauma that had been managed by an entirely laparoscopic approach using infrahepatic IVC partial clamping, outlining the technique of laparoscopy for liver trauma and the postoperative outcomes.

What Is Already Known About This Topic?: Mushroom poisoning incidents are one of the major causes of death by foodborne outbreaks in China. Effective detection and identification can provide the foundation for determining the cause of the incidents and the early diagnosis and treatment of patients.
What Is Added By This Report?: The surveillance data from the Public Health Emergency Management Information System, China CDC, showed that incidents with laboratory test results as the basis for determining the cause of mushroom poisoning accounted for only 14.

Introduction: Road traffic accidents (RTA) account for a sizable portion of morbidity and mortality globally, with a particularly high incidence among young and active individuals. Patients presenting with polytrauma require a multidisciplinary approach guided by protocols for advanced trauma life support.
Case Report: We report the case of a 31-year-old female, transferred-in to our center following primary care after an RTA on June 17th, 2023.
Many inherited metabolic disorders (IMD) are associated with end-organ damage necessitating organ transplantation. Although utilization of deceased donors with history of IMD warrants caution, there may be circumstances under which such donors could be considered as suitable organ donor candidates. We present the first known report of liver transplantation from a deceased donor with cystinosis.
