Nursing students have limited opportunities to build team leader skills during their clinical experiences, leaving a practice gap. Senior nursing students participated in a competency-based education unit and a simulation-based learning experience incorporating team leader skills. Presurvey and postsurvey data were collected using the Self-Confidence and Comfort with Utilizing a Standardized Handoff Communication Tool. Participants who completed both surveys were analyzed ( n = 85). Statistically significant improvements were found on 14 of the 19 survey items. Results suggest the effectiveness of using competency-based education and simulation-based learning experience to help nursing students build confidence and comfort in team leader skills.

The meaningful participation of young people from marginalized ethnic backgrounds in civic processes is central to the social cohesion of increasingly diverse liberal democracies, but their participation is compromised by a range of barriers resulting in decision-making that is disconnected from their lives. To address participation barriers, a group of young people from marginalized ethnic migrant backgrounds joined a team of researchers, social innovators, and community leaders to co-design and pilot an innovation to increase youth participation in policymaking. Delivered in phases over an 18-month period, the project followed an approach that combined social innovation and evaluation methods.

Objectives: Movement behaviour research among preschoolers is nascent in low- and middle-income countries, where levels of physical activity, sleep, and sedentary behaviour in children are largely unknown. This study aimed to adapt and assess the acceptability and feasibility of the International Study of Movement Behaviours in the Early Years (SUNRISE) in Mexico, and report on challenges and solutions while implementing the protocol.

Introduction: Despite evidence of variation in how concerns about falling influence physical activity, many of the currently available knowledge syntheses merely assume that this relation is uniform across populations and contexts. Therefore, we propose a scoping review protocol to guide a summary of the bodywork that has examined the association between concerns about falling and physical activity in adult populations, with an eye on the availability of empirical evidence of moderation.
Methods And Analyses: Studies reporting on both the concepts of concerns about falling and physical activity among samples with a mean age≥18 years will be included.
