Background: Clavicle fractures associated with ipsilateral coracoid process fractures are very rare, with limited literature reporting only a few cases. This study reports on 27 patients with ipsilateral concomitant fractures of the clavicle and coracoid process who were followed for more than 12 months.
Material And Methods: This retrospective study reviewed the charts of skeletally mature patients with traumatic ipsilateral clavicle and coracoid process fractures treated at the authors' institution.

Post-traumatic epilepsy (PTE) is a debilitating chronic outcome of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Although FTO has been reported as a possible intervention target of TBI, its precise roles in the PTE remain incompletely understood. Here we used mild or serious mice TBI model to probe the role and molecular mechanism of FTO in PTE.

Introduction: Blunt traumatic aortic injury (TAI) is a critical condition and a leading cause of mortality in trauma patients, often resulting from high-speed accidents. Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) has developed into the preferred therapeutic approach due to its minimally invasive nature and promising outcomes. This study evaluates the safety and efficacy of TEVAR for managing TAI over a 10-year period at a Level-1 trauma center.

Endoscopic procedures, currently, are characterized by being minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic methods, which allow the management of a wide number of pathologies and in the hands of a good operator, present few complications. Both traumatic and spontaneous splenic rupture is a rare entity, mainly associated with abdominal trauma or splenomegaly due to hematological diseases, respectively. Splenic rupture secondary to endoscopic studies is a complication with a mortality close to 5%, of which only 100 cases have been reported to date, none of them in Colombia.
