The therapeutical results obtained with oral irrigations when O2 or CO2 was used as a propellant air compared with those achieved with compressed air. The assessment of the therapeutical success was based on the periodontal disease index according to Kötzschke and the exsudate heights according to Egelberg. A significant improvement in the periodontal condition was stated in all three groups of patients. Though only the exsudate values for the O2 group were significantly better than those for the compressed air group, being the only difference between the groups which was significant, the greater efficiency of the O2 and CO2 application (compared to compressed air application) is, nevertheless, obvious and interpretable. The therapeutical results obtained permit the statement that a technically perfect device and the further increase of the partial pressure of O2 or CO2 in the irrigation fluid will lead to even better therapeutical results, for which purpose the suggestions given should be considered in establishing the indication. The favourable results achieved with compressed air testify to the beneficial action of each irrigation or spray treatment.

: Brain tissue immersed in cerebrospinal fluid often exhibits complex mechanical behaviour, especially the nonlinear stress- strain and rate-dependent responses. Despite extensive research into its material properties, the impact of solution environments on the mechanical behaviour of brain tissue remains limited. This knowledge gap affects the biofidelity of head modelling.

Nitrous oxide (NO) abuse is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. Moreover, the use of NO combined with other substances, such as alcohol, is also common. Accidental deaths associated with NO abuse are rare in forensic practice, with most fatal cases involving continuous inhalation equipment or exposure in a confined space.

Centrifugation is crucial for size and density-based sample separation, but low-volume or delicate samples suffer from loss and impurity issues during repeated spins. We introduce the "Spinochip", a novel microfluidic system utilizing centrifugal forces for efficient filling of dead-end microfluidic channels. The Spinochip enables versatile fluid manipulation with a single reservoir for both inlet and outlet functions.

This review explores the behavior of low-concentration CO (LCC) in various energy media, such as solid adsorbents, liquid absorbents, and catalytic surfaces. It delves into the mechanisms of diffusion, adsorption, and catalytic reactions, while analyzing the potential applications and challenges of these properties in technologies like air separation, compressed gas energy storage, and CO catalytic conversion. Given the current lack of comprehensive analyses, especially those encompassing multiscale studies of LCC behavior, this review aims to provide a theoretical foundation and data support for optimizing CO capture, storage, and conversion technologies, as well as guidance for the development and application of new materials.

Dosage forms containing Ivermectin (IVER) and Praziquantel (PRAZ) are important combination drug products in animal health. Understanding the relationship between products with differing in vitro release characteristics and bioequivalence could facilitate generics. The goal of this study was to create granulations for each active ingredient, with similar release mechanisms, but substantially different in vitro release rates, and then compressing these granulations into tablets with differing release rates.
