Background: Psoriasis is a common chronic, recurrent, immune-mediated disease involved in the skin or joints or both. However, deeper insight into the genetic susceptibility of psoriasis is still unclear.
Methods: Here we performed the largest multi-ancestry meta-analysis of genome-wide association study including 28,869 psoriasis cases and 443,950 healthy controls.

Objectives: Tongue swabs (TS) have shown potential for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC) through downstream molecular testing. Analytical performance varies, depending on the processing protocol and the molecular test used. This study aimed to first investigate ease-of-use of TS collection in addition to acceptability by individuals being assessed for TB and second to determine the performance of self-collected TS on the Xpert MTB/RIF Ultra (Ultra) assay (Cepheid, Sunnyvale, CA, USA) for MTBC and Rifampicin (RIF) resistance detection.

Nanoplastic (NP) pollution poses serious health hazards to aquatic ecosystems, impacting various physiological systems of aquatic organisms. This review examines the complex interplay between NPs and different physiological systems. In the digestive system, NPs downregulate the hsp70-like gene in Mytilus galloprovincialis, leading to decreased metabolic processes and impaired digestion.

Background: Neurons are susceptible to oxidative stress due to the elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and the limited antioxidant defense mechanisms. Therefore, it is possible to treat oxidative stress-related neurological disorders via the inhibition of oxidative stress. Chryxanthone A is an extracted substance derived from the endophytic fungal Aspergillus versicolor, with an atypical dihydropyran ring.

Morphine is a globally prevalent substance of misuse, renowned for its immunosuppressive effects mediated through opioid receptors expressed on immune cells. Macrophages are crucial antigen-presenting cells that fulfill diverse roles, such as antigen presentation, phagocytosis, wound healing, and disease protection. They are typically classified based on their activation states: M1 (proinflammatory), M2 (anti-inflammatory), and M0 (resting).
