Objectives: While many studies have shown that student-athletes are a stigmatized group and topics related to them have received increasing attention, few studies have focused on the current situation of Chinese sports students () with the same dual identity as student-athletes. Thus, this study aims to understand and recognize the negative perceptions that students with sports identities experience in the Chinese educational and cultural context and the impact of these perceptions on them.

Methods: This qualitative study used an interpretive description methodology to collect data through semi-structured, in-depth interviews conducted by the researcher with 11 sports students, 4 regular students, 3 teachers, and 2 parents.

Purpose: We developed the online-based counseling tool iKNOW for women with a pathogenic germline variant in to improve risk understanding and quality of life.

Methods: With a randomized controlled trial, we investigated the efficacy of iKNOW with regard to risk understanding (primary endpoint), quality of life, risk perception, and anxiety (secondary endpoints). Self-report questionnaires were administered to  = 217 women with a pathogenic variant in before counseling (T0), immediately after (T1), 4 weeks after (T2), and 6 months after (T3).

Increasing temperature can enhance the geographical spread and behavior of disease vector mosquitoes, exposing vulnerable populations to -borne viruses and infections. To address this risk, cost-effective and sustained intervention vector control tools are required, such as volatile pyrethroid spatial repellents. This study used a high-throughput screening system toxicity bioassay to determine the discriminating concentrations of transfluthrin-treated filter papers with variable air-drying times exposed to pyrethroid-susceptible mosquitoes.

Hollow-fiber membranes for nanofiltration were prepared from the blending of Poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) with Poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) with different PEG molecular weights (400 and 4000 g/mol) and PVC via a dry/wet spinning process. In the spinning process, the effects of air gap, wind-up speed, dope extrusion rate, and bore extrusion rate were examined. In addition, the different lengths of the center tube, which acted as the inner-side fiber diameter during the preparation of hollow-fiber membranes, were studied.
