Background: Machine learning (ML) tools exist that can reduce or replace human activities in repetitive or complex tasks. Yet, ML is underutilized within evidence synthesis, despite the steadily growing rate of primary study publication and the need to periodically update reviews to reflect new evidence. Underutilization may be partially explained by a paucity of evidence on how ML tools can reduce resource use and time-to-completion of reviews.
Methods: This protocol describes how we will answer two research questions using a retrospective study design: Is there a difference in resources used to produce reviews using recommended ML versus not using ML, and is there a difference in time-to-completion? We will also compare recommended ML use to non-recommended ML use that merely adds ML use to existing procedures. We will retrospectively include all reviews conducted at our institute from 1 August 2020, corresponding to the commission of the first review in our institute that used ML.
Conclusion: The results of this study will allow us to quantitatively estimate the effect of ML adoption on resource use and time-to-completion, providing our organization and others with better information to make high-level organizational decisions about ML.

Background: In low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), laparoscopic surgery is challenging to implement due to limited resources and lack of expert surgeons as teachers. The Global Laparoscopic Advancement Program (GLAP) was developed by the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) to deliver sustainable and effective methods for teaching safe laparoscopic surgery. GLAP aims to train surgical leaders and trainees with the goal of eventual in-country replication of GLAP programming.

Objective: The law of 7 July 2011 adopts the concept of therapeutic abortion (Medical Termination of Pregnancy or MTP) for maternal reasons if the pregnancy poses a "serious threat" to the woman's health, allowing for the introduction of the concept of psycho-social distress.
Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective monocentric study involving 33 women seeking IMG for psychosocial reasons between January 2017 and December 2021 at the University Hospital of Tours. The study resulted in 29 approvals and 25 MTP procedures performed.

Context: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic devastated societies and economies worldwide. Given the major disruptions to higher education, reflection on university responses to the COVID-19 pandemic may provide insights for future outbreaks.
Objective: Here, we describe the epidemiology of COVID-19 on the Emory University campus during the 2020-2021 academic year and provide an evaluation of the performance of a university-led program with the purpose of describing the effectiveness of efforts to augment the public health authority's case investigation and contact tracing efforts during a public health emergency.

Background: Lung ultrasonography is an emerging tool in diagnosing community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) - a major cause of mortality worldwide. The objective of the study was to determine the diagnostic performance of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) of the lung compared to the chest radiograph in the diagnosis of CAP in adults.
Methods: Adults ≥ 18 years presenting at the general and medical outpatient clinics, medical and emergency wards with symptoms of suspected CAP were evaluated using a portable ultrasound device and single posteroanterior chest radiograph.
