Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate anatomical and functional outcomes of the Smaller-Incision New Generation Implantable Miniature Telescope (SING IMT™) in patients with bilateral advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Methods: This non-comparative retrospective single-surgeon interventional case series included patients with bilateral late-stage AMD who underwent cataract surgery and SING IMT™ implantation at the Sant'Anna University Hospital, University of Ferrara, Italy. The main outcome measures included corrected distance (CDVA) and near visual acuity (CNVA), endothelial cell loss (ECL), and incidence of complications.

A novel panel of peptide for serological identification of Borrelia burgdoferi sensu stricto, Borrelia garinii and Borrelia afzelii was developed and assessed in this study. The diagnostic algorithm of the novel test was initially trained testing 10 US human sera including 3 early-stage and 3 late-stage Lyme disease positive sera, 2 sera positive for Babesia and 2 sera positive for Syphilis, all purchased from a private biorepository. Findings were then corroborated testing (a) 33 additional EU follow-up positive sera from seroconverted patients bitten by ticks that tested positive for B.

As a result, women in LMICs are frequently diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer (Stage III/IV) with a poor prognosis. The smaller-incision new-generation implantable miniature telescope (SING IMT) represents an advancement over the previous model, WA-IMT, serving as a unilateral prosthetic device for patients with late-stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This study aims to report changes in multifocal electroretinography (mfERG) 6 months post-SING IMT implantation. In this case series, we prospectively evaluated a cohort of phakic patients with late-stage AMD who underwent SING IMT implantation at the Ophthalmology Unit, University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy.
