As a critical component of aero-engines, the processing quality of the blade has a significant impact on the engine's overall performance and service life. First, from the perspective of double abrasive grains, two finite element models-simultaneous and sequential scratches-are established. The interaction between the two abrasive grains affects not only the polishing force and chip formation but also the surface morphology of the processed workpiece.

Urea is a major issue in human wastewater because it may be easily broken down by the urease enzyme produced by bacteria, leading to ammonia production. Due to its ability to increase soil pH and eutrophicate streams, ammonia-containing effluent emissions pose environmental and health risks. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of various treatment approaches in reducing urea concentrations by comparing the removal rates of conducting electrocoagulation (EC), EC followed by chemical coagulation (EC-CC), and CC followed by electrocoagulation (EC-CC).

Background Ankle fractures are one of the most common presentations in orthopaedic surgery and represent the third most frequent musculoskeletal injury in the elderly population. Syndesmotic injuries can be associated with ankle fractures, and surgical intervention is critical in these injuries to restore stability and prevent long-term disability. Traditionally, syndesmotic screw fixation has been the standard treatment for acute traumatic syndesmotic injuries, but controversies regarding this fixation method remain.

Introduction: Intramedullary femoral nails (IMFNs) need to be removed for subsequent joint replacement, refracture, nonunion, or infection. The tools used to extract newer IMFNs may not be suited for removal of older implants, especially if broken. The purpose of this study was to describe a novel technique in femoral nail extraction when primary measures fail and a report on 6 cases where it was used.

Background: Sternoclavicular joint dislocation (SJD) is rare, and joint instability after dislocation easily leads to deformity, pain, and limitations in performing activities, often requiring surgical treatment. Currently, there is no ideal internal fixation method for SJD.
Case Presentation: We report the case of a 38-year-old female patient with anterior dislocation of the right sternoclavicular joint (SJ) caused by a car accident who underwent open reduction and internal fixation using the double plate technique combined with the cable technique.
