The preparation, modification and application of green polymers such as poly-lactic acid (PLA), chitosan (CS), and cellulose acetate (CA) for oily wastewater treatment is summed up in this review. Due to the low environmental pollution, good chemical resistivity, high hydrophobicity, and good capacity for water-oil emulsion separation of the presented polymers, it then highlights the various membrane production methods and their role in producing effective membranes, with a focus on recent advances in improving membrane properties through the addition of various Nano materials. As a result, the hydrophilic/hydrophobic properties that are critical in the oil separation mechanism are highlighted. Finally, it looks at the predictions and challenges in oil/water separation and recovery. These ideas are discussed with a focus on modern production methods and oil separation proficiency.

A novel copper and iron doped containing chitosan and heparin sodium carbon dots (CS-Cu,Fe/HS) nanozyme was formulated through a single-step microwave digestion method. CS-Cu,Fe/HS exhibits excellent peroxidase (POD)-like activity and positive charge characteristics, and it can oxidize the negatively charged 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) in the presence of HO to produce a green compound (ox-ABTS). Furthermore, CS-Cu,Fe/HS enhances electron transfer and provides additional active sites through the valence state transformations of Fe/Fe and Cu/Cu.

Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) are a candidate for green energy sources due to microbes' ability to generate charge in their metabolic processes. The main problem in MFCs is slow charge transfer between microorganisms and electrodes. Several methods to improve charge transfer have been used until now: modification of microorganisms by conductive polymers, use of lipophilic mediators, and conductive nanomaterials.

The rapidly increased efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) indicates their broad commercial prospects, but the commercialization of perovskite faces complex optimization processes and stability issues. In this work, a simple optimized strategy is developed by the addition of trimethylgermanium chloride (TGC) into FACsPbI precursor solution. TGC triggers the successive interactions in perovskite solution and film, involving the hydrolysis of vulnerable Ge─Cl bond forming Ge─OH group, then forming the hydrogen bonds (O─H···N and O─H···I) with FAI.

The development of quasi-solid-state lithium metal batteries (QSSLMBs) is hindered by inadequate interfacial contact, poor wettability between electrodes and quasi-solid-state electrolytes, and significant volume changes during long-term cycling, leading to safety risks and cataclysmic failures. Here, we report an innovative approach to enhance interfacial properties through the construction of QSSLMBs. A multilayer design integrates a microwave-synthesized LiAlTi(PO) (LATP) ceramic electrolyte, which is surface-coated with a lithiophilic conductive ink comprising VS and disulfonated functionalized graphene nanosheets (VS-DSGNS) using a low-cost nail-polish binder.

High production cost of cellulases limits its commercial application on lignocellulose. Solid-state fermentation (SSF) has special advantages of water and energy conservation, however, the lack of free water and water loss during fermentation limits its application. In this paper, a constructed water-supply SSF was used to improve carboxymethyl cellulose activity and filter paper activity of 1.
