Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), , MoS, MoSe, ReS, and WSe, are effective materials for advanced optoelectronics owing to their intriguing optical, structural, and electrical properties. Various approaches for manipulating the surface of the TMDs have been suggested to unleash the optoelectronic potential of the TMDs. Herein, we employed the self-assembly of the poly(styrene--methyl methacrylate) (PS--PMMA) block copolymer (BCP) to prepare a nanoporous pattern and generate nanostructured charge-transfer p-doping on the WSe surface, maximizing the depletion region in the absorber layer. After the spin coating and thermal annealing of PS--PMMA, followed by the selective etching of PMMA cylindrical microdomains using oxygen reactive-ion plasma, nanopatterned WO with high electron affinity was grown on the WSe surface, forming a three-dimensional homojunction. The nanopatterned WO significantly expanded the depletion region in the WSe layer, thus enhancing optoelectronic performance and self-powered photodetection. The proposed approach based on the nanostructured doping of the TMDs BCP nanolithography can help create a promising platform for highly functional optoelectrical devices.

Nanocrystalline TiO is a perspective semiconductor gas-sensing material due to its long-term stability of performance, but it is limited in application because of high electrical resistance. In this paper, a gas-sensing nanocomposite material with p-p heterojunction is introduced based on p-conducting Cr-doped TiO in combination with p-conducting CrO. Materials were synthesized via a single-step flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) technique and comprehensively studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area analysis, transition electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), and Raman spectroscopy.

Millions of electrostatically actuatable micromirror arrays have been arranged in between windowpanes in inert gas environments, enabling active daylighting in buildings for illumination and climatization. MEMS smart windows can reduce energy consumption significantly. However, to allow personalized light steering for arbitrary user positions with high flexibility, two main limitations must be overcome: first, limited tuning angle spans by MEMS pull-in effects; and second, the lack of a second orthogonal tuning angle, which is highly required.

Due to the high configuration entropy, unique atomic arrangement, and electronic structures, high-entropy materials are being actively pursued as bifunctional catalysts for both the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in rechargeable zinc-air batteries (ZABs). However, a relevant strategy to enhance the catalytic activity of high-entropy materials is still lacking. Herein, a hole doping strategy has been employed to enable the high-entropy perovskite La(CrMnFeCoNi)O to effectively catalyze the ORR and OER.
