This paper aims to expand the literature on the determinants of the Cognitive Reflection Test scores, exploring the effects that the items sequence has on (1) Cognitive Reflection Test scores, (2) response time, (3) the relationship between Cognitive Reflection Test scores and response time, and (4) Cognitive Reflection scores, response time, and the relationship between both variables on men and women. The current study also explored the sex differences on Cognitive Reflection Test and response time according to items sequence. The results showed that manipulating the items sequence, the performance on the Cognitive Reflection Test improved significantly, but the response time were not significantly affected, although the results suggest that first items of the sequence could be working as training items. A positive relationship between Cognitive Reflection Test scores and response time was also found, except when the scores were maximized. Finally, some differences between men and women on the results were also found. The implications of these findings are discussed.

Background: Amyloid imaging biomarkers serve an increasingly important role in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease and determining eligibility for treatment with new disease-modifying therapies. Yet, psychological and behavioral reactions to receiving a biomarker informed diagnosis remain relatively unstudied, especially in diverse and underserved populations where the burden of disease is high and resources for support are often insufficient. We developed the Patient And family member Reactions to biomarker-informed ADRD DiagnosEs (PARADE) Study to address two key gaps in our understanding: 1) the range and trajectory of psychological and behavioral responses to a biomarker informed diagnosis and 2) the support needs of these individuals and their families.

This study applied a mixed-methods approach to investigate rater effects that might affect case report evaluation in China. In the quantitative phase, we randomly assigned 210 mental health professionals to the experienced or novice ratee condition to rate the same structured case report on assessment and formulation, intervention strategy, relationship, and self-reflection. The qualitative phase was subsequently conducted to help make sense of the results.

Background: Delinquent behavior in adolescence is a prevalent issue, often associated with difficulties across multiple life domains, which in turn perpetuates negative life outcomes. While current treatment programs show partial success in improving behavioral changes and reducing recidivism, comprehensive conclusions regarding the overall efficacy of these interventions have yet to be established. In forensic outpatient settings, the discrepancy between adolescents' limited emotional awareness and the predominant emphasis on cognitive reflection, combined with low treatment adherence, may be factors that undermine treatment efficacy.
