Traditional lateral flow immunoassays (TLFIAs) are valued for their simplicity, speed, and user-friendliness. However, the specificity of conventional test strips often necessitates large quantities of antigen-protein conjugates for target detection, which can be resource-intensive. Here, we present a strategy aimed at enhancing the universality of test strips while reducing the consumption of antigen-protein conjugates, without compromising sensitivity.

Antibiotic residues and their chlorinated disinfection by-products (Cl-DBPs) have adverse effects on organisms in aquaculture water. Taking enrofloxacin (ENR) as target antibiotic, this study investigated the degradation and transformation of ENR Cl-DBPs in constructed wetlands (CWs). Results showed that, ENR and its Cl-DBPs affected the biodegradation of CWs at the preliminary stage, but did not affect the adsorption by plant roots, substrates, and biofilms.

Due to its water solubility and wide applicability, enrofloxacin hydrochloride (EH) may enter aquatic ecosystems and cause negative effects on aquatic organisms. This study aimed to explore toxicological effects via serological changes and neurotoxicity, which were induced by EH exposure in crucian carp (Carassius auratus var. Pengze).

Melamine (MEL), enrofloxacin (ENR), sulfamethazine (SMZ), tetracycline (TC), and aflatoxin M (AFM) are the main chemical contaminants in milk. It is necessary to detect these miscellaneous chemical contaminants in milk synchronously to ensure the safety of the milk. In this study, a multiple lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) was developed for the detection of MEL, ENR, SMZ, TC, and AFM in milk.
