Biomass energy has attracted widespread attention due to its renewable, storage, huge production and clean and pollution-free advantages. Using bark (RPB) as raw material, biogas and bio-oil produced by pyrolysis of RPB were detected and analyzed by TG-DTG, TG-FTIR and PY-GC-MS under the action of nanocatalysis. TG results showed that CH and CO flammable gases were produced by pyrolysis. PY-GC-MS results showed that RPB was rapidly pyrolyzed to obtain alcohols, ketones, aldehydes and acids bio-oil. The content of phenolic substances was the highest, accounting for 32.18% of all substances.Nanocatalysis has a certain effect on RPB, accelerating the precipitation of pyrolysis products and improving the over-oxidation of bio-oil. In addition, the extracts of RPB were identified and analyzed by FTIR, NMR, GC-MS and LC-Q-TOF-MS, and more than 100 active ingredients, such as Betaine, Epicathin and β-sitosterol, were detected. Their applications as additive energy in other fields were explored. Therefore, bark constitutes a fine biofeedstock for biofuels and biochemicals.

Molybdate, an oxidized form of molybdenum, facilitates molybdenum to be taken into cell, and thus to be included as a cofactor in the structure of enzymes necessary to ensure homeostasis. Although this compound provides the catalysis and electron transport of many biochemical reactions, it causes serious health problems in animals at high concentrations. For this reason, its recovery of water resources is one of the main subjects of scientific studies called bioremediaiton.

, a halophilic unicellular chlorophyte, produces bioactive compounds and biofuels applicable to various industries. Despite its industrial significance, comprehensive studies on the morphological, physiological, and biochemical characteristics of the genus remain challenging. In this study, we characterized an axenically isolated green alga from a salt pond in Taean, Republic of Korea, and assessed its industrially relevant traits.

The quest for cleaner and sustainable energy sources is crucial, considering the current scenario of a steep rise in energy consumption and the fuel crisis, exacerbated by diminishing fossil fuel reserves and rising pollutants. In particular, the bioaccumulation of hazardous substances like trivalent chromium has not only disrupted the fragile equilibrium of the ecological system but also poses significant health hazards to humans. Microalgae emerged as a promising solution for achieving sustainability due to their ability to remediate contaminants and produce greener alternatives such as biofuels.

Lignocellulosic waste, like corn stover (CS), is widely produced and serves as a key feedstock for biofuels and biochemicals. Semi-continuous subcritical water hydrolysis (SWH) is an eco-friendly method that breaks down cellulose and hemicellulose bonds. To boost fermentable sugar (FS) yields, steam explosion (SE) pretreatment was tested on CS, achieving a cellulose content of 74.
