Poly(4-trimethylsilyl diphenyl acetylene) (PTMSDPA) has strong fluorescence emission, but its application is limited by the effect of aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ). Copolymerization is a commonly used method to adjust the properties of polymers. Through the copolymerization of 4-trimethylsilyl diphenyl acetylene and 1-trimethylsilyl-1-propyne (TMSP), we successfully realized the conversion of PTMSDPA from ACQ to aggregation-induced emission (AIE) and aggregation-induced emission enhancement (AEE). By controlling the monomer feeding ratio and with the increase of the content of TMSDPA inserted into the copolymer, the emission peak was red-shifted, and a series of copolymers of poly(TMSDPA--TMSP) that emit blue-purple to orange-red light was obtained, and the feasibility of the application in explosive detection was verified. With picric acid (PA) as a model explosive, a super-quenching process has been observed, and the quenching constant () calculated from the Stern-Volmer equation is 24,000 M, which means that the polymer is potentially used for explosive detection.

In this article, the synthesis of bis(phosphine), -PhPCHC(O)N(H)CHCHPPh- (1) (hereafter referred to as "PNHP" and its anionic form as "PNP") and its group 10 metal chemistry and catalytic studies are described. PNHP (1) on reaction with NiCl(DME) and PdCl(COD) afforded pincer complexes, [MCl{(PNP)κ-,,}] (M = Ni, 2; Pd, 3). A similar reaction of 1 with PtCl(COD) yielded a chelate complex, [PtCl{(PNHP)κ-,}] (4), which on further treatment with LiHMDS produced the 1,2-azaphospholene-phosphine complex, [PtCl(Ph){(-P(Ph)CHCONCHCHPPh-)κ-,}] (5) P-C/P-N bond metathesis.

Background: Melanoidins, as a functional component, exhibit antioxidant properties. However, the antioxidant mechanism of melanoidins in fish sauce remains poorly understood. The present study focused on the structural characteristics, microstructure and antioxidant activity of melanoidin substances in fish sauce.

A series of spiro-phosphonium compounds have been synthesized by copper-mediated coupling reaction of phosphacyclic compounds with alkynes. Their photophysical properties are tuned by varying substituents and exhibit different luminescent colors from blue to green, and finally, yellow. The fluorescence quantum efficiency of diethyl spiro-xanthenebenzophosphole in solid and liquid states reached 31% and 76%, respectively.

There is a continuous and pressing need to establish new brain-penetrant bioactive compounds with anti-cancer properties. To this end, a new series of 4'-((4-substituted-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)methyl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-2-carbonitrile (OTBN-1,2,3-triazole) derivatives were synthesized by click chemistry. The series of bioactive compounds were designed and synthesized from diverse alkynes and N-OTBN, using copper (II) acetate monohydrate in aqueous dimethylformamide at room temperature.

Objective: Both piperine and a 308-nm excimer laser have significant curative effects on vitiligo. This study mainly explored the molecular mechanism of a 308-nm excimer combined with piperine in regulating melanocyte proliferation.
Methods: Epidermal melanocytes were cultured in piperine solution, and the cells were irradiated by an XTRAC excimer laser treatment system at 308-nm output monochromatic light.
