Excipient lung disease (ELD) is a rare cause of pulmonary hypertension that occurs due to the intravenous injection of crushed tablets. We present the case of a healthcare professional in her late 30s who presented with a fever in the setting of a bacteraemia. During her hospital admission, she established a pattern of transient hypoxia and hypotension, with resolution without targeted management or clear cause identified.

Introduction: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer therapy by enhancing the antitumor immune response. This case describes an 80-year-old male with synchronous multiple primary malignancies (MPMs), including lung metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC), and brain metastatic urothelial carcinoma, who was treated with dual ICI therapy.
Case Presentation: The patient, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, well-differentiated neuroendocrine duodenal tumors and micronodular exogenous cirrhosis (Child-Pugh class A), presented with a non-invasive bladder carcinoma (pT1N0M0) resected endoscopically in December 2022.

Two domestic cats (Abyssinian and Carthusian) presented with chronic respiratory signs including cough, respiratory sounds, and polypnea. One of the cats also showed intermittent fever. Thoracic radiographs demonstrated severe changes with predominantly micronodular interstitial lung patterns, some with mineralized areas.

Objective: To investigate the impact and potential mechanisms of serum extracellular nano-vesicles (sEVs) miR-412-3p released from sub-centimeter lung nodules with a diameter of ⩽ 10 mm on the malignant biological function of micro-nodular lung cancer (mnLC).
Methods: A total of 87 participants were included and divided into a mnLC group (n= 30), a benign lung nodule (BLN) group (n= 27), and a healthy people control group (n= 30). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) and Western blot (WB) were used to measure the morphological characteristics and surface markers of sEVs.

Intravenous injection of pulverized tablet formulations intended for oral use may lead to pulmonary foreign body granulomatosis, a rare and serious condition. This case report details an unusual case of pulmonary micronodular disease resulting from the injection of crushed hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen tablets via a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC). A 62-year-old female on total parenteral nutrition presented with progressive dyspnea on exertion.
