Medical students and junior residents have five concerns about general medicine training, and senior residents and young academic generalists respond to these concerns. We hope that this paper will help to dispel some common concerns for those who wish to become specialists in general medicine.

Although the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score standardizes the diagnosis of organ dysfunction, early sepsis detection remains challenging due to its insidious symptoms. In 2021, The Wellness Institute (WI), located at Seven Oaks General Hospital, created a virtual cardiometabolic risk reduction program in response to COVID-19 pandemic public health restrictions, encompassing virtual health coaching and lifestyle education.
