Abstract: The ability to load ultracold atoms at a well-defined energy in a disordered potential is a crucial tool to study quantum transport, and in particular Anderson localization. In this paper, we present a new method for achieving that goal by rf transfer of atoms in an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate from a disorder-insensitive state to a disorder-sensitive state. It is based on a bichromatic laser speckle pattern, produced by two lasers whose frequencies are chosen so that their light-shifts cancel each other in the first state and add up in the second state. Moreover, the spontaneous scattering rate in the disorder-sensitive state is low enough to allow for long observation times of quantum transport in that state. We theoretically and experimentally study the characteristics of the resulting potential.

Background: Adolescent eating disorders impair physical and mental development and are associated with poor health outcomes in adulthood. However, there is little research on disordered eating in Ethiopia, particularly in the study area. As a result, the purpose of this study is to examine disordered eating behaviors and associated factors in secondary school adolescents in the study area.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to map which instruments are currently being used to measure disordered eating in adolescent boys as part of a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis.
Method: Utilizing the PRISMA review protocol, 174 journal articles were reviewed.
Results: Sixty-seven articles used versions of the Eating Attitudes Test to measure adolescent boys' disordered eating, 32 used versions of the Eating Disorder Examination-Questionnaire, 30 used versions of the Eating Disorder Inventory, 25 used SCOFF, and 10 used the Drive for Muscularity Scale.

Anion dimerization poses a significant challenge for the application of Li-rich cathode materials (LCMs) in high-energy-density Li-ion batteries because of its deleterious effects, including rapid capacity and voltage decay, sluggish reaction kinetics, and large voltage hysteresis. Herein, we propose a metal-ligand spin-lock strategy to inhibit anion dimerization, which involves introducing an Fe-Ni couple having antiferromagnetic superexchange interaction into the LCM to lock the spin orientations of the unpaired electrons in the anions in the same direction. As proof of concept, we applied this strategy to intralayer disordered LiTiS (ID-LTS) to inhibit S-S dimerization.

In this study, the structure, functionality, physicochemical property, emulsion storage stability, and rheological properties of soybean meal hydrolysate-proanthocyanidin (SMH-PC) conjugates in ternary complex with glucan, sodium alginate, or soybean polysaccharides were investigated. Following complexing, the proteins unfolded and their disordered structures positively promoted the emulsifying properties of ternary complexes. The SMH-PC-glucan complex showed the best antioxidant activity and the highest emulsifying activity index (94.

Unlabelled: The increasing cultural diversity in the United States means more college students identify with racial and ethnic minority backgrounds and may experience acculturative stress. Emerging research has found an association between acculturative stress and maladaptive eating. However, these studies rarely consider other theoretical factors or confounders, and individual differences.
