Anatomy and symptoms of ureteral ectopy in childhood can greatly vary. In most cases the site of ectopies in the urethral tract, so that a complete excision of the distal ureter is difficult and may cause damage to the sphincteric structures. When lower ureterectomy is performed below iliac vessels, symptoms secondary to residual ectopic ureter are rare. In our experience, residual ureteral stumps were symptomatic in two cases, with continence and micturation disturbances, which were codified as "residual ureteral stump syndrome". Clinical features and treatment are herein reported.

Müllerian (paramesonephric) duct anomalies (MDA) are a rare condition, occurring in 5.5% of female newborns. One of the most complex malformations is represented by Obstructed Hemivagina and Ipsilateral Renal Anomalies (OHVIRA) syndrome, also known as Herlyn -Werner-Wunderlich (HWW) syndrome.

Crossed-fused renal ectopia (CFRE) is a rare congenital disease in which one of the kidneys with its ureter crosses the midline and fuses with the contralateral kidney. The association of this malformation with the presence of primary renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is even more anecdotal; there are only a few cases reported in the literature. We describe the case of a 62 year-old man with CFRE associated with renal cell carcinoma, which was successfully removed by retroperitoneoscopy, after careful preoperative study of blood supply and anatomical features.

Ureteral ectopia is rare and requires surgical treatment after a thorough diagnostic workup. Open surgical techniques for repositioning ectopic ureters have been known for many years and are well described in the literature. However, to the best of our knowledge, no laparoscopic method of correcting this pathology has been described, which, in our opinion, would benefit the animal in terms of the healing process and overall clinical outcomes.

Introduction: Crossed renal ectopy (CRE) is a very rare congenital kidney anomaly. CRE is usually asymptomatic and is most often discovered incidentally, but the patient may sometimes develop various renal manifestations.
Case Presentation: We report a case of a girl who was symptomatic of several episodes of urinary tract infections and whose investigations including ultrasound, uroscan, renal scan and voiding cystourethrogram concluded that she had a crossed left renal ectopy without vesico-ureteral reflux.
