The retina is a complex and highly metabolic tissue in the back of the eye essential for human vision. Retinal diseases can lead to loss of vision in early and late stages of life, significantly affecting patients' quality of life. Due to its accessibility for surgical interventions and its isolated nature, the retina is an attractive target for novel genetic therapies and stem cell-based regenerative medicine.

Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is an escalating public health concern in the United States, linked with significant morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. Despite known risk factors like age, hypertension, and diabetes, comprehensive studies examining temporal trends in CKD prevalence are scarce. This study aims to analyze these trends using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Background: Ovarian cancer (OC) represents a common neoplasm within the female reproductive tract. The prognosis for patients diagnosed at advanced stages is unfavorable, primarily attributable to the absence of reliable screening markers for early detection. An elevated neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) serves as an indicator of host inflammatory response and has been linked to poorer overall survival (OS) across various cancer types; however, its examination in OC remains limited.

Selpercatinib, a highly selective inhibitor, has demonstrated efficacy in various solid tumors harboring alterations. Here, we present a case highlighting the use and clinical outcomes of selpercatinib in a patient diagnosed with advanced lung adenocarcinoma harboring a fusion.

Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based intratumoral and peritumoral radiomics models for predicting deep myometrial invasion (DMI) of early-stage endometrioid adenocarcinoma (EAC).
Methods: The data of 459 EAC patients from three centers were retrospectively collected. Radiomics features were extracted separately from the intratumoral and peritumoral regions expanded by 0 mm, 5 mm, and 10 mm on unimodal and multimodal MRI.
