Background: To compare the clinical outcomes of subepithelial connective tissue graft and chorion membrane along with coronally advanced flap in the treatment of gingival recession.

Methods: A total of 12 patients with 24 sites showing isolated bilateral Miller's class I and II gingival recessions were randomly allocated into two treatment sites. One site, connective tissue graft, (n = 12 sites) while on the contra-lateral site, chorion membrane (n = 12 sites) was used with coronally advanced flap. Clinical parameters: probing depth, recession depth, recession width, width of keratinized gingiva, relative attachment level, thickness of keratinized gingiva were recorded at the baseline, 3 months, and 6 months. The amount of root coverage was evaluated after 6 months.

Results: Statistically significant differences were observed between test and control sites in terms of recession depth, recession width, width of keratinized gingiva and thickness of keratinized gingiva at 6 months. The test sites presented 66.17 ± 18.85% and the control site showed 87.17 ± 18.33% of root coverage at 6 months.

Conclusion: Very limited amount of recession coverage with chorion membrane and did not serve as an alternative to connective tissue graft.

Trial Registration: CTRI/2017/12/010964.

: This study aimed to explore how the microarchitectural features of lacunae and perilacunar zones impact the biomechanics of microdamage accumulation in cortical bone, crucial for understanding bone disorders' pathogenesis and developing preventive measures. : Utilizing the phase field finite element method, the study analyzed three bone unit models with varying microarchitecture: one without lacunae, one with lacunae and one including perilacunar zones, to assess their effects on cortical bone's biomechanical properties. : The presence of lacunae was found to increase microcrack initiation risk, acting as nucleation points and accelerating microcrack propagation.

Objective: Aim: To study the ATFL length among asymptomatic population of young patients on both joints by using the method of ultrasound examination of the ankle joint and applying the inversion stress test.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: the length of the ATFL was measured among 60 boys and 60 girls during the research. Sonography was performed on both joints, in each of the two studied positions, three times per position in order to obtain the average ligament length.

Objectives: To update the 2017 European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) recommendations for treatment of systemic sclerosis (SSc), incorporating new evidence and therapies.

Methods: An international task force was convened in line with EULAR standard operating procedures. A nominal group technique exercise was performed in two rounds to define questions underpinning a subsequent systematic literature review.

Background: Many factors, such as decreased spinal mobility, pain, and dysfunction can affect gait parameters in patients with ankylosing spondylitis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of plantar fascia enthesitis and disease-specific measurements on gait parameters in patients with ankylosing spondylitis.

Methods: The Win-Track platform was used to evaluate spatiotemporal parameters in patients with ankylosing spondylitis and in healthy controls.

Background/purpose: Revascularization procedures are used over apexification to treat teeth with necrotic pulp tissues and incomplete root formation. Clinically, inducing proliferation, migration, matrix deposition, and differentiation of stem cells from apical papilla (SCAPs) are critical for pulp regeneration. The study aimed to elucidate the impact of bone morphogenetic protein-4 (BMP-4) on plasminogen activation molecules and the osteogenic/odontogenic differentiation of SCAPs, as well as understand the related signaling mechanisms.
