A Pt-nanoparticle-decorated 1T-MoS layer is designed as a sacrificial electrocatalyst by carbothermal shock (CTS) treatment to improve the energy efficiency and lifespan of seawater batteries. The phase transition of MoS crystals from 2H to metallic 1T─induced by the simple but potent CTS treatment─improves the oxygen-reduction-reaction (ORR) activity in seawater catholyte. In particular, the MoS-based sacrificial catalyst effectively decreases the overpotential during charging via edge oxidation of MoS, enhancing the cycling stability of the seawater battery. Furthermore, Pt nanoparticles are deposited onto CTS-MoS via an additional CTS treatment. The resulting specimen exhibits a significantly low charge/discharge potential gap of Δ0.39 V, high power density of 6.56 mW cm, and remarkable cycling stability up to ∼200 cycles (∼800 h). Thus, the novel strategy reported herein for the preparation of Pt-decorated 1T-MoS by CTS treatment could facilitate the development of efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts for fabricating seawater batteries with long service life.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the association between changes in lactate production and levels of physical activity in a group of healthy young adults in response to two squat training protocols.
Material And Methods: Twenty-nine students majoring in Sports Science willingly participated in this study. Participants visited the lab four times within a two-week period, ensuring at least 48 h between visits.

Coronary artery disease remains a significant global health issue and is a leading cause of mortality. Dual antiplatelet therapy, including clopidogrel, is essential for preventing stent thrombosis after coronary artery stenting. This study assessed the comparative efficacy and safety of generic versus brand-name clopidogrel in a large Taiwanese cohort.

: Aging involves a series of changes in non-pathological age-related conditions, some of which impact the cognitive functioning of older adults. Executive functions are cognitive skills that are often affected in this process, although they have been shown to improve after physical exercise interventions. This protocol aims to describe the procedures that will be carried out in a systematic literature review, including a meta-analysis of the effects of resistance interventions on the main dimensions of executive function in cognitively healthy older adults compared to active or passive control groups.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a prevalent neuropathic disorder caused by chronic compression of the median nerve, leading to sensory and motor impairments. Conventional treatments, such as corticosteroid injections, wrist splinting, and surgical decompression, often fail to provide adequate outcomes for chronic or recurrent cases, emphasizing the need for innovative therapies. Hydrogels, highly biocompatible three-dimensional biomaterials with customizable properties, hold significant potential for CTS management.

Clinical trials (CTs) often suffer from small sample sizes due to limited budgets and patient enrollment challenges. Using historical data for the CT data analysis may boost statistical power and reduce the required sample size. Existing methods on borrowing information from historical data with right-censored outcomes did not consider matching between historical data and CT data to reduce the heterogeneity.
