Background And Aims: Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP1RAs) can cause delayed gastric emptying, raising concern for retained gastric contents (RGCs) during endoscopy and adverse anesthesia events. We aimed to determine associations between GLP1RA and endoscopy and anesthesia outcomes.
Methods: This single-center retrospective cohort study examined patients prescribed GLP1RA who underwent outpatient endoscopy stratified by exposure at the time of endoscopy.

Introduction: Suboptimal bowel preparation adversely affects colonoscopy quality, increases healthcare costs, and prolongs waiting time. The primary contributing factors include poor tolerance to the preparation solutions, noncompliance with prescribed instructions, and suboptimal efficacy of the bowel cleansing solution itself.
Areas Covered: This review examined the predictive factors associated with suboptimal bowel preparation and discussed interventions aimed at improving bowel cleansing.

Background: Iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) related to occult gastrointestinal tract (GIT) blood loss is associated with high rates of GIT malignancies. Major society guidelines recommend bidirectional endoscopic evaluation for all men and post-menopausal women with newly diagnosed, unexplained IDA. However, in patients prescribed direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs), the endoscopic yield, specifically the rate of high-risk findings, including colorectal cancers (CRCs) and advanced adenomas (AAs), is unknown.

Background: Methotrexate-associated lymphoproliferative disease (MTX-LPD) is a rare and life-threatening complication of MTX administration. MTX-LPD features more extranodal lesions than malignant lymphoma; however, the liver is an extremely rare organ that develops LPD. Herein, we present a case of hepatic MTX-LPD treated with surgical resection.
