Unlabelled: The dried root of is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine mainly used to treat lung diseases and plays an important role in fighting coronavirus disease 2019 pneumonia in China. This study focused on the key enzyme gene for furanocoumarin synthesis in . In the 35S: transgenic study, the -overexpressing gene was more salt-tolerant than in the blank group. Metabolomics analysis showed 30 differential metabolites in , which overexpressed the gene. Twelve coumarin compounds were significantly upregulated, and six of these coumarin compounds were not detected in the blank group. Among these differential coumarin metabolites, isopimpinellin and aesculetin have been annotated by the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes and isopimpinellin was not detected in the blank group. Through structural comparison, imperatorin was formed by dehydration and condensation of zanthotoxol and a molecule of isoprenol, and the difference between them was only one isoprene. Results showed that the gene positively regulated the synthesis of coumarin metabolites in and at the same time improved the salt tolerance of .

Objective: To compare growth outcomes and tolerance among very low birth weight (VLBW) infants receiving a new, liquid human milk fortifier (LHMF-NEW) or a human milk fortifier-acidified liquid (HMF-AL).

Study Design: Retrospective, multicenter study of 515 VLBW infants in three regional NICUs. The primary objective was to compare growth velocity (g/kg/day) during fortification between groups by repeated measures regression.

Objective: MiRNAs and lncRNAs are important regulators in the process of skin photoaging. In this study, we investigated the expression changes and interactions between miR4298 and lncKRTAP5-6-3 in chronically UVB-damaged human keratinocyte cell line (HaCaT) cells and explored miR4298-MAPK/ERK signaling pathway-Cathepsin D-lncKRTAP5-6-3 mechanisms in photoaging cells.

Methods: HaCaT cells were irradiated with 12 mJ/cm UVB once a day for 7 days.

The aging population necessitates a critical need for medical devices, where polymers-based surface lubrication coating is essential for optimal functionality. In fact, lubrication and mechanical requirements vary depending on the service environment of different medical devices. Until now, key mean is still blank for general preparation of hydrophilic polymers-based lubrication coatings with on-demand mechanics and lubricity.

Purpose: Vocabulary access is important for individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), especially for children in the early stages of language learning. This study sought to understand how accurate speech-language pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and parents are in predicting the vocabulary needed by early symbolic communicators who use AAC in three contexts.

Method: Ten groups, each with a child who used AAC as their primary mode of communication and who was classified as an early symbolic communicator and their parent, teacher, and SLP, participated.

Background: Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) was modified by a sulfuric and nitric acid mixed system to improve the solubility of the material and the gas selective permeability of the film. SN1 and SN5, synthesized from mixed acid systems (with ratios of nitric acid and sulfuric acid of 1:1 and 1:5, respectively) were chosen because they had comparable nitro groups but differing sulfonyl groups. To investigate the impact of the type and content of sulfonated and nitrated polyether ether ketone (SNPEEK) on the structure and physicochemical properties of the films, SN1/polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and SN5/polyvinyl chloride films were made by adding varying amounts of SN1 and SN5 (0.
