In this present work, the transformation of the Moroccan phosphogypsum (PG) waste, considered a potential source of sulfate, into potassium sulfate compound could help reduce environmental impact and create a new value chain for the phosphate industry. Generally, solid-liquid equilibria are frequently applied in chemical industries. They are a valuable aid in visualizing the precipitation, separation, and purification of a solid phase and the pathways by which crystallization can occur. This process aims to produce potassium sulfate (KSO), a high-value fertilizer, from sulfate solutions obtained after dissolving PG in a NaOH medium. The quaternary phase diagram Na, K//Cl, SO-HO at 25 °C was especially used to determine the operating conditions and the design of a crystallization process during the PG conversion into KSO. The Jänecke representation of this system enables the determination of the optimal trajectory in the phase diagram for the double decomposition reaction. X-ray fluorescent (XRF) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques were conducted to identify the crystalline phases formed during our process. In summary, the results of this study could contribute to the development of a sustainable valorization PG. Furthermore, KSO represents a good alternative to potassium chloride for chloride-sensitive crops.

The goal of this research was to analyze the energy and environmental impact of KCL and K2SO4 production and provide recommendations for enhancing energy efficiency and environmental practices. Data was collected through face-to-face interviews at two potash plants and the CML methodology was employed to assess impact categories. Inventory data for production inputs were sourced from the Ecoinvent, BUWAL 250, and LCA Food DK databases within the Simapro 8.

Objectives: To date, there have been no reports on the long-term effects of a method that combines external hemorrhoidectomy with aluminum potassium sulfate and tannic acid (ALTA) sclerotherapy. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of external hemorrhoidectomy combined with ALTA sclerotherapy (EA) in reducing postoperative complications associated with conventional hemorrhoidectomy.
Methods: EA was performed under sacral epidural anesthesia, and ALTA sclerotherapy was applied to the remaining internal hemorrhoids after resection of the external hemorrhoids.

Chlorine in potassium chloride and potassium sulfate must be detected due to its negative effect on soil. Although the laboratory-based chlorine measurement tests are reliable, they are time-consuming, expensive, and requires chemical agents and highly skilled operators. Therefore, the novelty of the present research is developing a fast, accurate, and cheap machine-based method to measure the amount of chlorine.

11-acryloylamino undecanoic acid (AAUA) is a versatile polymerizable surfactant that has been applied to coat medical devices, and these applications can benefit from a fundamental understanding of its interaction with a metal substrate. Cyclic voltammetry and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) were used to examine the adsorption configuration of AAUA molecules on an ordered Au(111) electrode and their mutual interactions, as AAUA was adsorbed from a methanol dosing solution. In addition to the van der Waals force between the aliphatic groups, the hydrogen bonding between the carboxylic acid and acrylamide groups was also important to guide the spatial arrangement of AAUA admolecules on the Au electrode.
