The Aim Of The Study: Was an analysis of compensation payments for moral damage in cases related to poorly provided dental care in 2013-2022.
Materials And Methods: The study of judicial practice for the period 2013-2022 was conducted on 1731 cases related to poor-quality medical care in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. The analysis of statistical data on patients' claims for compensation for moral damage caused during the provision of dental care was carried out.
Results: The most important and characteristic trends for the specialty were identified. In dental cases, claims for compensation for moral damage are contained in 97% of cases. In 56% of cases, on average, this requirement is satisfied by the courts. Over 10 years, the growth rate in the number of cases where these patient requirements were met was 36%. Data analysis shows an annual increase in the amount of compensation for moral damage requested and determined by the courts. During the study period, the growth rate of the number of cases with claims for compensation for moral suffering exceeding 100.000 rubles was 49%. The growth rate of court decisions and rulings on satisfaction of claims for compensation for moral damage in amounts exceeding 100.000 rubles was 44% from 2013 to 2022.
Conclusion: An important role in regulating the relationship between medical organizations and patients is played by the contract and the patient's voluntary informed consent to medical intervention.

Alcohol is a class 1 carcinogen, and its use, at any level, is not safe for health. Despite this, alcohol remains strongly mixed into medical culture and is often served free at medical-community events. This presents numerous ethical concerns.

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Greater New York Hospital Association held 3 workshops and 2 follow-up meetings with hospital emergency managers and colleagues to determine hospitals' response actions to a scenario of a 10-kiloton improvised nuclear device detonation. The scenario incorporated 3 zones of damage (moderate, light, and beyond damage zones) and covered the period of 0 to 72 hours postdetonation divided into 3 24-hour operational periods. The Joint Commission's critical emergency areas were used to determine the objectives and response actions that would be initiated.

The stage is set for a new era of precariousness in modern medicine, driven by the increasing failure of a key pharmaceutical pillar-antimicrobials. In the context of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the rise of antimicrobial resistance is introducing urgent questions around what might constitute "best practice" in a rapidly evolving scene, including the value of asymptomatic screening (test and treat), and the consequent downstream collateral damage emerging from over-use of our diminishingly effective antimicrobial resources. Drawing on interviews with clinicians, experts, and industry representatives, we examine resistance as a site of emerging and co-constitutive moral, temporal, and economic dilemmas.

Consumers have several options when confronted with less environmentally friendly packaging like water in single use plastic bottles - they can ignore environmental concerns and proceed with a purchase, refuse to buy any such product, seek out a less damaging version like water in biodegradable bottles, and/or engage in offsetting/compensatory behavior such as donating to a charity. Understanding how consumers value these options is an important academic and management challenge. To address this, a stated choice experiment is employed.

Background: Despite adequate treatment, a subgroup of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn`s disease and ulcerative colitis, have persistent gastrointestinal symptoms that are not always related to mucosal damage. Recently, two autoantibodies, anti-CdtB and anti-vinculin, were validated as post-infectious IBS (PI-IBS) markers, however there is limited evidence of its diagnostic role in IBD population.
Methods: Patients with more than 3 bowel movements/day and indication of colonoscopy were enrolled.
