Background: Device-based measurement in physical activity surveillance is increasing, but research design choices could increase the risk of self-selection bias and reactive behaviour. The aim of this study is to compare the self-reported physical activity profiles of four different samples: participants in a large national survey, participants in a telephone-based survey of non-responders, participants in the large national survey who accepted the invitation to device-based measuring, and the same sample during the week of monitoring.
Methods: In October 2020, 163,133 Danish adults participated in a national survey and of those 39,480 signed up for device-based measurements.

Optimal management relies on understanding and tailoring evidence-based interventions by clinicians in partnership with patients.

Background: Recruitment and inclusion procedures in clinical trials are time critical. This holds particularly true for studies investigating patients with fluctuating symptom patterns, like those with chronic neck pain. In a feasibility study on neck pain, we found a clinically relevant decrease in pain ratings within the recruitment period.

Importance: Audit and feedback based on direct observation is a common strategy to improve hand hygiene compliance, but the optimal design and delivery of this intervention are poorly defined.
Objective: To describe barriers encountered by audit-and-feedback programs for hand hygiene across acute care hospitals within the Veterans Health Administration.
Design, Setting, And Participants: A qualitative study was conducted at a geographically diverse convenience sample of 10 acute care hospitals within the Veterans Health Administration.
