In this work, the incubation effect on the laser ablation threshold of quartz, after multi-shot irradiation with femtosecond pulses at 1030-nm-wavelength with different repetition rates, was investigated. A strong decrease of the multi-pulse ablation threshold with the number of pulses N was found due to incubation. Moreover, the influence of the repetition rate was negligible in the investigated frequency range which went from 0.06 to 200 kHz. A saturation of the threshold fluence value was observed at number of pulses N > 100 which has been found to be well fitted by an exponential incubation model. Using such model, we estimated the single-pulse ablation threshold value and the incubation coefficient for quartz, which were found equal to Fth,1 = 6.23 ± 0.23 J/cm and k = 0.058 ± 0.004.

Purpose: To determine the technical feasibility of discriminating discontiguous from contiguous ablation zones between a pair of microwave ablation (MWA) applicators using broadband microwave transmission signal measurements in an in vivo porcine liver model.
Methods: Dual applicator 2.45GHz MWA was performed using one directional and one omnidirectional applicator, spaced 3cm apart, under imaging guidance.

Background: Accurate electroanatomic mapping is critical for identifying scar and the long-term success of ventricular tachycardia ablation.
Objectives: This study sought to determine the accuracy of multielectrode mapping (MEM) catheters to identify scar on cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and histopathology.
Methods: In an ovine model of myocardial infarction, we examined the effect of electrode size, spacing, and mapping rhythm on scar identification compared to CMR and histopathology using 5 multielectrode mapping catheters.

Background: Catheter ablation improves symptoms and quality of life in atrial fibrillation patients, but its effect on adverse cardiovascular outcomes and mortality remains uncertain. Bayesian analysis of randomized controlled trials offers a deeper understanding of treatment effects beyond conventional p-value thresholds.
Methods: We conducted a post hoc Bayesian reanalysis of CABANA and four similar trials to estimate catheter ablation's effect on cardiovascular and survival outcomes.
Background: Few clinical studies of atrial fibrillation (AF) have focused on Asian patients; data are lacking on current mapping and ablation strategies in the Asia Pacific region (APAC).
Objective: The HD Mapping Observational Study (NCT04022954) was designed to characterize electroanatomic mapping (EAM) with market-released high-density mapping (HDM) catheters in subjects with AF in APAC.
Methods: Subjects undergoing HDM and indicated for radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to treat AF were prospectively enrolled in APAC.
