Injectable dressings offering intrinsic antibacterial activity and antioxidation are required, because persistent bacterial infection and oxidative damage are common issues associated with chronic non-healing wounds. Herein, a versatile QCS-l-TA-l-OHA hydrogel is fabricated using ubiquitous nature derived biological macromolecules, quaternized chitosan (QCS), tannic acid (TA) and oxidant hyaluronic acid (OHA), driving by multiple dynamic interactions under physiological conditions. The hydrogel can serve as multiple functional wound dress with injectable and self-healing capabilities coupling with attractive antibacterial activity and antioxidation. The biocompatible and self-biodegradable hydrogel augments free radical scavenging capacity, antibacterial, angiogenesis, mature granulation tissue and collagen disposition, enabling fast wound healing of rat skin full-thickness incision model. This study highlights a wound dressing platform of hyaluronic acid and chitosan based injectable and self-healing hydrogel with inherent antibacterial and antioxidant bioactivities, thereby avoiding the use of antibiotics or antioxidant agents.

Tumor microenvironment governs various therapeutic tolerability of cancer such as ferroptosis and immunotherapy through rewiring tumor metabolic reprogramming like Warburg metabolism. Highly expressed carbonic anhydrases (CA) in tumor that maintaining the delicate metabolic homeostasis is thus the most potential target to be modulated to resolve the therapeutic tolerability. Hence, in this article, a self-healable and pH-responsive spermidine/ferrous ion hydrogel loaded with CA inhibitor (acetazolamide, ACZ) and glucose oxidase (ACZ/GOx@SPM-HA Gel) was fabricated through the Schiff-base reaction between spermidine-dextran and oxidized hyaluronic acid, along with ferrous coordination.

Due to its unique rheology, Restylane® Lyft (HA-L, Galderma, Uppsala, Sweden) may be particularly well-suited for injection rhinoplasty, as it has high gel firmness (G') for strong structural support with minimal integration propensity. The Janus kinase inhibitor tofacitinib (TOF) is an FDA-approved drug for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment, but its long-term oral use leads to significant systemic side effects. The present research aimed to conquer these challenges by formulating hyaluronic-acid-coated transethosomes (HA-TOF-TE), a novel system for targeted, topical delivery of TOF to reduce systemic toxicity and improve therapeutic efficacy. In this study, a sensitive diagnosis and spontaneously photocatalytic therapy of cancer based on chemiluminescence (CL) and nanozyme was studied. Briefly, carbon nitride-supported copper nanoparticles (CuCNs) loaded with luminol (CuCN-L) were utilized to develop a microneedle patch (CuCN-L/MN). The CuCN-L probe could target overexpressed HO in the TME and actively emit CL to achieve cancer cell imaging for diagnosis.
