Background: Gastric cancer (GC) shows limited response to immune checkpoint inhibitors due to its complex tumor immune microenvironment (TIME). This study explores the functions of various immune cells in the complex TIME in GC.
Methods: We assessed CD8 + T-cell infiltration of GC tissues by immunohistochemistry, and performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) of tumor and normal tissues from 34 patients with GC.

Teratomas are a highly differentiated type of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs), the most common type of solid cancer in young men. Prominent inflammatory infiltrates are a hallmark of TGCTs, although their compositions and dynamics in teratomas remain elusive. Here, we reached out to characterize the infiltrating immune cells and their activation and polarization state by using high-throughput gene expression analysis of 129.

Background: Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) is the most common autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD), which is distinguished by high thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) or thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb). The differentiation of CD4T cell subsets in patients with HT is imbalanced, with Treg cells decreased and Th17 cells abnormally activated. Fatty acid oxidation supports the differentiation of Th17 cells and induces inflammation, but the specific mechanism is still unknown.

Introduction: This study employs bulk RNA sequencing, PCR, and ELISA assays to analyze the pathological factors affecting the outcomes of ocular infections in koalas. It investigates the immune responses and gene expression profiles associated with various stages of koala ocular chlamydiosis.
Methods: A cohort of 114 koalas from Queensland, Australia were assessed, with 47% displaying clinical signs of ocular disease.

Local and systemic immunosuppression are prominent features of pancreatic cancer, rendering anti-tumor effector cells inactive and immunotherapeutic approaches ineffective. The spleen, an understudied point of antigen-presentation and T cell priming in humans, holds particular importance in pancreatic cancer due to its proximity to the developing tumor. As main effectors of antigen presentation, dendritic cells display antigens to lymphocytes, thereby bridging the innate and adaptive immune response.
