Background: Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is a common form of dementia among the elderly with a large percentage of estimated heritability. Conventional polygenic risk analysis only accounts for the linearly combined genomic effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). On the other hand, a deep-learning-based approach is able to uncover nonlinearly associated effects from data with high-dimensional features such as genomics.

Multigene, genus-wide phylogenetic studies have uncovered the limited taxonomic resolution power of commonly used gene markers, particularly of rRNA genes, to discriminate closely related species of the nematode genus Heterorhabditis. In addition, conflicting tree topologies are often obtained using the different gene markers, which limits our understanding of the phylo- and co-phylogenetic relationships and biogeography of the entomopathogenic nematode genus Heterorhabditis. Here we carried out phylogenomic reconstructions using whole nuclear and mitochondrial genomes, and whole ribosomal operon sequences, as well as multiple phylogenetic reconstructions using various single nuclear and mitochondrial genes.

A microRNA with a non-canonical precursor structure harbours an intron in between its miRNA-5p and miRNA-3p relevant for its biogenesis, is conserved across Solanaceae, and targets the mRNA of low phosphate root. Hundreds of miRNAs have been identified in plants and great advances have been accomplished in the understanding of plant miRNA biogenesis, mechanisms and functions. Still, many miRNAs, particularly those with less conventional features, remain to be discovered.

: We treated deep partial-thickness burns of the hands and feet in four cases using a combination of NexoBrid and ReCell autologous cell regeneration techniques, without conventional split-thickness skin graft, with good results following debridement of the eschar. : We report cases of patients treated with a combination of the NexoBrid and ReCell techniques between 1 August 2023 and 31 July 2024. The degree of debridement and the time to complete wound closure were evaluated.

The occurrence of cracked tooth is closely related to the abnormal occlusal force. The cracks existing on hard tissue of tooth cannot be self-limiting. As long as the external force exists, the cracks would continue to expand, involving the pulp, periapical, and periodontal tissues, ultimately leading to splitting and tooth loss.
