Seniority-zero geminal wavefunctions are known to capture bond-breaking correlation. Among this class of wavefunctions, Richardson-Gaudin states stand out as they are eigenvectors of a model Hamiltonian. This provides a clear physical picture, clean expressions for reduced density matrix (RDM) elements, and systematic improvement (with a complete set of eigenvectors). Known expressions for the RDM elements require the computation of rapidities, which are obtained by first solving for the so-called eigenvalue based variables (EBV) and then root-finding a Lagrange interpolation polynomial. In this paper, we obtain expressions for the RDM elements directly in terms of the EBV. The final expressions can be computed at the same cost as the rapidity expressions. Therefore, except, in particular, circumstances, it is entirely unnecessary to compute rapidities at all. The RDM elements require numerically inverting a matrix, and while this is usually undesirable, we demonstrate that it is stable, except when there is degeneracy in the single-particle energies. In such cases, a different construction would be required.

Here, we demonstrate that single strand annealing (SSA) can be co-opted for the precise autocatalytic excision of a drive element. We have termed this technology Repeat Mediated Excision of a Drive Element (ReMEDE). By engineering direct repeats flanking the drive allele and inducing a double-strand DNA break (DSB) at a second endonuclease target site within the allele, we increased the utilization of SSA repair.

This article introduces a hybrid BE-FE method for solving the EEG forward problem, leveraging the strengths of both the Boundary Element Method (BEM) and Finite Element Method (FEM). FEM accurately models complex and anisotropic tissue properties for realistic head geometries, while BEM excels in handling isotropic tissue regions and dipolar sources efficiently. The proposed hybrid method divides regions into homogeneous boundary element (BE) regions that include sources and heterogeneous anisotropic finite element (FE) regions.

This article provides an introductory guide into research data management (RDM), and the importance of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data-sharing principles for laboratory researchers produced by practicing scientists. We explore the advantages of implementing organized data management strategies and introduce key concepts such as data standards, data documentation, and the distinction between machine and human-readable data formats.

Background: While there has been a long recognition of the importance of race equality in health and care research, there is a lack of sustained action among research funding and research performing organisations to address racial equality in public involvement. This paper describes how the UK's National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) convened a Race Equality Public Action Group (REPAG), which co-developed with public contributors and stakeholders a Race Equality Framework - a tool for addressing racial equality in public involvement.
Methods: The REPAG, through meetings and discussions, defined the focus of the Framework, and developed an initial draft of the Framework.
