Background: Longitudinal studies investigating cognitive function changes in patients with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) are limited. The variability of cognitive impairment across clinical subtypes of PSP remains unclear.
Objective: This study aimed to compare the longitudinal changes in cognitive function between patients with PSP and Parkinson's disease (PD) and to assess differences in cognitive impairment among PSP subtypes.

The effect of the Rho-kinase inhibitor ripasudil on the retinal optic nerve fiber layer (RNFL) remains unclear. We aimed to determine this effect in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) using optical coherence tomography (OCT) measurements and linear mixed analysis. This study prospectively included outpatients from a single center with POAG without a history of vitreoretinal or glaucoma surgery from December 2014 to June 2020, in whom the circumpapillary RNFL thickness (cpRNFLT) was measured more than three times before and after ripasudil initiation, without additional medication or surgery during the period.

Introduction: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects 5-20% of reproductive-aged women. Insulin resistance (IR) is common in PCOS with consequent elevated risks of metabolic disorders and cardiovascular mortality. PCOS and obesity are complex conditions associated with Metabolic Syndrome (MS), contributing to cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D).

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by progressive cognitive decline due to neuronal damage and impaired neurogenesis. Preserving neuronal integrity and stimulating neurogenesis are promising therapeutic strategies to combat AD-related cognitive dysfunction. In this study, we synthesized metformin carbon dots (CMCDs) using a hydrothermal method with metformin hydrochloride and citric acid as precursors.

Background: Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a hereditary disease caused by abnormally expanded CAG repeats in the ATXN3 gene. The study aimed to identify potential biomarkers for assessing therapeutic efficacy by investigating the associations between expanded CAG repeat size, brain and spinal cord volume loss, and motor functions in patients with SCA3.
Methods: In this prospective, cross-observational study, we analyzed 3D T1-weighted MRIs from 92 patients with SCA3 and 42 healthy controls using voxel-based morphometry and region of interest approaches.
