The Indochinese Peninsula is a main center of speciation of , but the taxonomic treatment of the genus is still critical in this area. With regard to Vietnam, a discordant number of species was recorded by different authors during the last century, whereas various new species have been recently described. An updated checklist of the intrageneric taxa occurring in the country is here presented, including a new species from the island of Hon Tre, Khanh Hoa Province. The genus comprises in Vietnam 37 species, 9 subspecies and 3 varieties, all belonging to sect. . The study area, with 10 endemic species, is confirmed as one of the hotspots of the genus. Three lectotypes are also selected. The new species here described and illustrated, , is related to differing in the few-flowered subumbels, narrower sepals, smaller petals, longer filaments and smaller, apiculate fruit; its affinities with related taxa and conservation status are discussed, and data on its ecology and phenology are given.

Background: Inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) are recommended treatment for mild asthma. We aimed to update the evidence on the efficacy and safety of ICS-containing regimens, leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRA), and tiotropium relative to as-needed (AN) short-acting β2-agonists (SABA) in children (aged 6-11 years) and adolescents/adults.

Methods: A systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of regular and AN treatment for mild asthma was conducted (CRD42022352384).

Introduction: Near-term and intrapartum care play pivotal roles in ensuring a safe childbirth experience and are essential components of a comprehensive approach to maternal and neonatal health.

Methods: The following interventions were identified: antibiotics for preterm premature rupture of membrane, antenatal corticosteroids for fetal lung maturation, partograph use during labor and delivery, induction of labor at or post term, skilled birth care and safe childbirth checklist during labor and delivery. A scoping exercise was conducted to ascertain the most up-to-date evidence, and reviews of topics of interest were updated in case the evidence was not recent, with a focus on low- and middle- income countries (LMICs).

Background: It is necessary and challenging to establish reasonable and feasible total error specifications for coagulation factor assays for quality control and assessment. The aim of this study is to establish new total error specifications for coagulation factor assays by combining External Quality Assessment data with reliable biological variation data.

Methods: Data from China National External Quality Assessment Scheme (28,408 results from 1,381 laboratories) were analyzed, stratifying External Quality Assessment data by reference intervals to establish concentration-dependent total error specifications.

Background: The detection of multiple bluetongue virus serotypes, increasing trend in livestock density, rich biological diversity with high endemism, and the status of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as a popular tourist destination underscore the need for a faunistic survey of medically and veterinary significant vector species, specifically Culicoides, in this region. Moreover, scattered information on Indian Culicoides species complicates the planning and implementation of preventive measures for pathogens transmitted by these vectors. This study aims to provide the first comprehensive account of the Culicoides fauna in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India, along with an updated checklist of Indian Culicoides species and their state-wise distribution.
