For the first time, a separate Czech guideline focuses exclusively on hepatitis D virus (HDV) infection. Until recently, HDV infection was only mentioned in guidelines concerning hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, in chapters on HBV/HDV co-infection. The guideline is based on the July 2023 recommendations from the European Association for the Study of the Liver.

The rapid advancement of modern pharmacological and surgical therapeutic interventions is often accompanied by potential disruptions to the immune system, both permanent and transient. Consequently, life-threatening infectious complications may emerge, which were either absent or exceedingly rare in the past. Observational studies have identified pneumocystis and cytomegalovirus pneumonia as one of the most prevalent coinfections.

Objectives: This study aimed to identify factors predicting postoperative ICU admission, the need for orotracheal intubation (OTI), and the occurrence of supraglottic stenosis in children undergoing supraglottoplasty for laryngomalacia.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 31 children (Dear Reviewer, we would have greatly preferred to include a larger sample size. However, as you know, this type of management is rare, and we deliberately selected a 7-year period to ensure a minimum of 30 children while avoiding significant differences in management guidelines over time.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is projected to be the second leading cause of cancer-related death by 2030. Early identification is rare, with a 5-year overall survival (OS) of less than 10%. Advances in the understanding of PDAC tumor biology are needed to improve these outcomes.

Objective: Chronic non-bacterial osteomyelitis (CNO) is a rare autoinflammatory bone disease associated with other chronic inflammatory diseases such as familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), spondylarthropathies, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and pyoderma gangrenosum. We aimed to describe the clinical and follow-up characteristics of patients with CNO and to compare findings between patients with and without comorbidities.
Methods: The clinical records of patients with CNO who were followed up in our pediatric rheumatology clinic between 2018 and 2023 were reviewed.
