mutations have been identified as frequent molecular lesions in several tumor types, particularly in gliomas. As a putative marker of mutations, elevated D-2-HG has been reported in glioma, acute myeloid leukemia and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Excessive production of L-2-HG has also been described in renal cell carcinoma and 2-hydroxyaciduria. The authors present a fully optimized stable isotope dilution multiple reaction monitoring method for quantification of D-/L-2-HG using LC-MS/MS. This is the first method validation study performed on cerebrospinal fluid, plasma and urine demonstrating clinical applicability with samples from glioma patients. This method validation study showed high accuracy and precision with low limit of detection and limit of quantification values. The authors believe that the presented approach is highly applicable for basic and clinical research on related pathologies.

Ultrasonic oxidation provides the degradation of a wide range of water pollutants to the final products defined as carbon dioxide, short-chain organic acids, and inorganic ions, typically less toxic and favorable to biodegradation. In this study, it was investigated the application of novel ultrasonic reactor that allows the several combinations of low (20 kHz and 40 kHz) and high frequency ultrasonic piezoceramic transducer (578 kHz, 862 kHz and 1142 kHz) to degrade two main cyanobacterial toxins, Microcystin-RR (MC-RR) and Microcystin-LR (MC-LR). A plate transducer operating at different frequencies (40 kHz or 578 kHz/862 kHz/1142 kHz) was combined with a probe (20 kHz) as well as two plate transducers 40 kHz and 578 kHz/862 kHz/1142 kHz were combined to provide dual frequency ultrasonic reactor (DFUR).

This study investigates the impact of non-ionic surfactant alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEOs) on the penetration of two pesticides, systemic thiabendazole and non-systemic phosmet, in apple and spinach. Individualized medication with peptide antibiotics, guided by therapeutic drug monitoring, is essential to treat infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria. Peptide antibiotics exhibit an "on-off" elution mechanism on a C18 column, leading to adsorption at the column inlet in all-aqueous conditions. Unlike small molecules, column length minimally influences their retention, with longer columns simply broadening peptide antibiotic peaks due to unnecessary post-column volume.
