A polysaccharide from Gastrodia elata (named GEP-1) was isolated with a DEAE-52 column and Sephadex G-100 column. The structural characteristics showed that GEP-1 was mainly composed of glucose (92.04%), galactose (4.79%) and arabinose (2.19%) with a molecular weight of 76.444 kDa. The polydispersity (Mw/Mn) of GEP-1 was 1.25, indicating that the distribution of molar mass (Mw) was relatively narrow, which suggested that GEP-1 was a homogeneous polysaccharide. Introduction: Geriatric patients (GeP) often experience increased morbidity and mortality following traumatic insult and as a result, require more specialized care due to lower physiologic reserve and underlying medical comorbidities. Motorcycle injuries (MCCI) occur across all age groups; however, no large-scale studies evaluating outcomes of GeP exist for this particular subset of patients. Sulfide solid electrolyte membranes employed in all-solid-state lithium batteries generally show high thickness and poor chemical stability, which limit the cell-level energy density and cycle life. In this work, LiGePSbSCl solid electrolyte is synthesized with Sb, Cl partial substitution of P, S, possessing excellent toluene tolerance and stability to lithium. The formed SbS group in LiGePSbSCl exhibits low adsorption energy and reactivity for toluene molecules, confirmed by first-principles density functional theory calculation.

In order to improve product format quality and material flexibility, variety of application, and cost-effectiveness, SiC, ZrO, and Al hybrid composites were manufactured in the research utilizing the powder metallurgy (PM) technique.
