Published: December 2022

The electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) technique was employed with the support of geochemical analyses to delimit the affected surface area by slurry pig ponds. Data were taken in three selected slurry ponds located in Fuente Álamo municipality, Murcia region (SE Spain), to obtain electrical resistivity value-based 2D sections and 3D blocks. All ERT-based survey data were obtained in September 2020 using a SuperSting R8 resistivity meter from Advanced Geosciences Inc. and using the dipole-dipole array consisting of a total of twenty-eight electrodes. The soil samples were taken from drilling core sampling by boreholes at each slurry pond, and physical-chemical analyses of soil samples were obtained using standard laboratory testing methods. Electrical resistivity values and physical-chemical analysis data obtained from soil samples were contrasted, whose comparison showed a correlation between profiles-based electrical resistivity, laboratory-based electrical conductivity (EC) data, and nitrate (N-NO) content from soil samples. The statistical analysis was run by SPSS Statistics v.23 software (IBM, Neconductivity York, NY, USA) to establish the non-parametric Spearman correlation. The dataset establishes a reliable methodology and provides insight and information to delimit the affected subsurface area by pig slurry. Data contained within this publication are presented concurrently with Capa-Camacho et al. 2022 [1].

Creating durable, motion-compliant neural interfaces is crucial for accessing dynamic tissues under in vivo conditions and linking neural activity with behaviors. Utilizing the self-alignment of nano-fillers in a polymeric matrix under repetitive tension, here, we introduce conductive carbon nanotubes with high aspect ratios into semi-crystalline polyvinyl alcohol hydrogels, and create electrically anisotropic percolation pathways through cyclic stretching. The resulting anisotropic hydrogel fibers (diameter of 187 ± 13 µm) exhibit fatigue resistance (up to 20,000 cycles at 20% strain) with a stretchability of 64.

Hierarchical braking accurate control of electrohydraulic composite braking system for electric vehicles.

ISA Trans

January 2025

School of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Hangzhou, China. Electronic address:

For the electrohydraulic composite braking system, the general total braking force calculation strategy frequently ignores the resist forces, thereby cannot track the braking intention of driver perfectly. Moreover, the torque allocation process reduces the control reliability and energy recovery effect. In this research, a novel hierarchical braking accurate control (HBAC) algorithm is designed to achieve both the control accuracy and the ideal energy recovery efficiency.

Engineering Research Center of Groundwater Pollution Control and Remediation (Ministry of Education), College of Water Sciences, Beijing Normal University, No 19, Xinjiekouwai Street, Beijing 100875, China. Electronic address:

Electronic mediators are an effective means of enhancing the efficiency of microbial electrochemical electron transfer; however, there are still gaps in understanding the strengthening mechanisms and the efficiency of removing antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB). This study systematically elucidates the effects of various electron mediators on bioelectrochemical processes, electron transfer efficiency, and the underlying mechanisms that inhibit ARG propagation within sediment microbial fuel cell systems (SMFCs). The results indicate that the addition of electron mediators significantly increased the output voltage (33.

Current researches on sodium penetration in electrolytic aluminum cathode carbon blocks primarily measure cathode expansion curves, showing mostly macroscopic characteristics. However, the microscopic structure is often underexplored. As a porous medium, the diffusion performance of cathode carbon blocks is closely tied to their internal pore structure.

Purpose: For optimization of respiratory drug delivery, the selection of suitable in vitro cell models plays an important role in predicting the efficacy and safety of (bio)pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical formulations. Therefore, an in-depth comparison of different primary and permanent in vitro cellular airway models was performed with a focus on selecting a suitable model for inhalative antibodies.

Methods: Primary cells isolated from the porcine trachea were compared with the established human cell lines CaLu3 and RPMI 2650.
