Research studies indicate that immunization with protein extracts of , the protozoan parasite that causes Chagas disease, prevents the appearance of tumors in 60% of mice injected with the murine lung carcinoma tumor line. The molecular basis of this process is unknown, although the presence of specific antigens in tumor cells and on the surface of suggests an antiparasitic immune response, with an effective cross-reaction against cancer cells, hence the importance to identify the antigens involved and determine their potential as target cells in anticancer therapy. This study aimed to determine the presence of antigenic proteins of shared with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and neuroblastoma cells. To achieve this, polyclonal antibodies against were developed in rabbits, and reactivity was determined with protein extracts of acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells and neuroblastoma. The immunodetection of five different strains of against anti- polyclonal antibodies was also performed. The study allows the knowledge of the immunological interactions between cancer and parasites to be expanded and, therefore, contributes to the design of more and better projects that improve the therapeutic strategies applied in oncology.

Objective: To harvest the primary Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph) cells of B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and to establish the B-ALL mouse model.
Methods: The plasmid carrying fusion gene was transferred into the bone marrow(BM) cells of C57BL/6J mice by retrovirus. Syngeneic mice irradiated with 9 Gy of Co γ-ray were injected with the transfected BM cells as the first generation (G1), and then the primary cells from the spleen and BM of the diseased mice were obtained and frozen.

Objective: To explore whether Ph acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cell line SUP-B15 treated with imatinib occurs a tolerant status charactered by cell proliferation suppression but apoptotic resistance, then evaluate whether IGF1-R inhibitor AEW541 can break this tolerance, and further explain its mechanisms.
Methods: SUP-B15 cells were treated with different concentrations of imatinib or AEW541. Cell proliferation was assayed by Deep Blue, and apoptotic cells were determined by Annexin V/7-AAD staining.

Objective: To investigate the influence of inhibition on the chemotherapeutic sensitivity of the T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia(T-ALL) cell line Jurkat, and to explore the potential mechanism.
Methods: The transcription and expression level of in 6 hematological malignant cell lines were detected by RT-qPCR and Western blot, respectively. The expression of Ku80 in Jurkat cells was detected by Western blot after transfection with the recombinant sh lentiviral vector.
