Copper is an essential trace element in an organism, and changes in copper levels often indicate a diseased state. Copper and immunity have been discussed since the last century, with copper deficiency significantly affecting the development and function of the immune system, such as increased host susceptibility to various pathogens, decreased number and impaired function of neutrophils, reduced antibacterial activity of macrophages, decreased proliferation of splenocytes, impaired B cell ability to produce antibodies and impaired function of cytotoxic T lymphocyte and helper T cells. In the past 20 years, some studies have shown that copper ions are related to the development of many tumors, including lung cancer, acute lymphoid leukaemia, multiple myeloma and other tumors, wherein copper ion levels were significantly elevated, and current studies reveal that copper ions are involved in the development, growth and metastasis of tumors through various pathways. Moreover, recent studies have shown that copper ions can regulate the expression of PD-L1, thus, attention should be paid to the important role of copper in tumor immunity. By exploring and studying copper ions and tumor immunity, new insights into tumor immunity could be generated and novel therapeutic approaches to improve the clinical prognosis of patients can be provided.

Purpose: To investigate the prognostic value of inflammatory indexes based on peripheral blood cells in unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients treated with Lenvatinib combined with PD-1 inhibitors.
Methods: This study retrospectively collected baseline inflammatory indexes from HCC patients received Lenvatinib and PD-1 inhibitor-based combination therapy at the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences between October 2018 and October 2021. The optimal threshold values for inflammatory indexes determined using X-tile.

Background: The relationship between patient nutritional, immune, and inflammatory status is linked to tumor progression and prognosis. However, there are limited studies on the prognosis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) after surgery based on the comprehensive indicators of these factors.
Aim: To develop and validate a novel nomogram based on a nutritional immune-inflammatory status (NIIS) score for predicting postoperative outcomes in ESCC.

Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is one rare type of thyroid carcinoma without standard systemic treatment for advanced disease. Recent evidence has demonstrated promising efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors, particularly those targeting programmed death-1 (PD-1)/programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), in a variety of solid tumors. However, there have been no research of immune checkpoint inhibitors plus chemotherapy in ATC.

Objectives: Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) are tissue-resident lymphocytes that have vital roles in activating further immune responses. However, due to their tumor-induced diversity, we decided to examine ILCs, T cells, and the associated cytokines in mouse models of breast cancer.
Materials And Methods: 4T1 and MC4-L2 cells were used to induce triple-negative and hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer, respectively.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a highly malignant and aggressive gastrointestinal tumor. Due to its weak immunogenicity and limited immune, cell infiltration lead to ineffective clinical outcomes. Therefore, to improve the current prophylaxis and treatment scheme, offering a favorable strategy efficient against CRC is urgently needed.
