Posts have been suggested to strengthen weak endodontically treated teeth against intra-oral forces by transmitting torquing forces within the radicular dentin to supportive tissue along their roots. The case studies that follow show how an interdisciplinary approach was used to use complete veneer crowns after custom cast posts to repair severely damaged treated teeth and restore their appearance and functionality. Coordinated prosthetic and endodontic treatments with careful consideration of the patient's expectations and requirements were crucial for a positive result and patient satisfaction. For a very long period, a cast metal post and core were used to provide the foundation restoration for a prosthetic crown. The cast post and core system has the benefit that the core is a natural extension of the post. It is intended for the post to keep the core restoration, which rebuilds the destroyed coronal structure. In this article, cast post and core and porcelain fused to metal restorations for injured maxillary central incisors are discussed.

A Scanning Photoelectron Microscopy (SPEM) experiment has been applied to ZnO:N films deposited by Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) under O-rich conditions and post-growth annealed in oxygen at 800 °C. spatial resolution (130 nm) allows for probing the electronic structure of single column of growth. The samples were cleaved under ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions to open atomically clean cross-sectional areas for SPEM experiment.

Due to their high developmental diversity and different regulatory and functional roles, B cell subpopulations can promote or inhibit tumor growth. An orthotopic murine HNSCC model was applied to investigate the B cell composition and function in HNSCCs. Using flow cytometry approaches, cells from the spleen, lymph nodes and tumors were analyzed.

Prosocial is a systems-level intervention framework that incorporates elements of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) with Ostrom's core design principles (CDPs) guiding effective organizations and collective action (Ostrom, 1990). We evaluated a Prosocial intervention to support teachers and staff in a specialized school. AB analysis supported improvements in group cohesion and values-behavior alignment during the intervention and pre-post analyses showed significant improvements in psychological flexibility and perceived stress of participants.

Background: Maintaining the connection between skeletal muscle fibers and the surrounding basement membrane is essential for muscle function. Dystroglycan (DG) serves as a basement membrane extracellular matrix (ECM) receptor in many cells, and is also expressed in the outward-facing membrane, or sarcolemma, of skeletal muscle fibers. DG is a transmembrane protein comprised of two subunits: alpha-DG (α-DG), which resides in the peripheral membrane, and beta-DG (β-DG), which spans the membrane to intracellular regions.

Background: Up to 23% of breast cancer patients recurred within a decade after trastuzumab treatment. Conversely, one trial found that patients with low HER2 expression and metastatic breast cancer had a positive response to trastuzumab-deruxtecan (T-Dxd). This indicates that relying solely on HER2 as a single diagnostic marker to predict the efficacy of anti-HER2 drugs is insufficient.
