Introduction: The prescription of an intervention plan can be challenging for the physical therapist, considering clinical phenotypes, individual prognosis and the rapid, progressive and deteriorating nature of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In this context, therapeutic exercises (eg, resistance and aerobic exercises) for patients with ALS remain controversial and may influence the treatment plan. Therefore, this review aims to critically assess whether physical therapy interventions are effective for improving functional capacity, quality of life and fatigue of individuals with ALS.
Methods And Analysis: Studies will be selected according to eligibility criteria, and language, geographical area or publication date will not be restricted. Four databases will be used: MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library (CENTRAL) and Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). Searches will also be conducted on ClinicalTrials.gov and references from included studies. We plan to conduct the searches between October and December 2022. Two independent authors will examine titles and abstracts and exclude irrelevant studies and duplicates. We will assess the quality of studies and quality of evidence, and disagreements will be resolved with a third researcher. The findings will be presented in the text and tables; if possible, we will perform meta-analyses.
Ethics And Dissemination: No ethical approval is required because this study does not involve human beings. We will publish our findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Salinization is a significant global issue causes irreversible damage to plants by reducing osmotic potential, inhibiting seed germination, and impeding water uptake. Seed germination, a crucial step towards the seedling stage is regulated by several hormones and genes, with the balance between abscisic acid and gibberellin being the key mechanism that either promotes or inhibits this process. Additionally, mucilage, a gelatinous substance, is known to provide protection against drought, herbivory, soil adhesion, and seed sinking.

NEK2, a serine/threonine protein kinase, is integral to mitotic events such as centrosome duplication and separation, microtubule stabilization, spindle assembly checkpoint, and kinetochore attachment. However, NEK2 overexpression leads to centrosome amplification and chromosomal instability, which are significantly associated with various malignancies, including liver, breast, and non-small cell lung cancer. This overexpression could facilitate tumor development and confer resistance to therapy by promoting aberrant cell division and centrosome amplification.

Background: Adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cystic fibrosis (CF) are at risk for deviating from their daily treatment regimen due to significant time burden, complicated daily therapies, and life stressors. Developing patient-centric, effective, engaging, and practical behavioral interventions is vital to help sustain therapeutically meaningful self-management.
Objective: This study aimed to devise and refine a patient-centered telecoaching intervention to foster self-management in AYA with CF using a combination of intervention development approaches, including an evidence- and theory-based approach (ie, applying existing theories and research evidence for behavior change) and a target population-centered approach (ie, intervention refinement based on the perspectives and actions of those individuals who will use it).

The orthorhombic structure of FeNbO4, where the Fe and Nb cations are distributed randomly over the octahedral 4c sites, has shown excellent promise as an anode material in solid oxide fuel cells. We have used DFT+U-D2 calculations to explore the adsorption and dissociation of H2 molecules and the formation reaction of water at the (010) and (111) surfaces. Simulations of the surface properties confirmed that the bandgaps are significantly reduced compared to the bulk material.

Motivation: The drug-disease, gene-disease, and drug-gene relationships, as high-frequency edge types, describe complex biological processes within the biomedical knowledge graph. The structural patterns formed by these three edges are the graph motifs of (disease, drug, gene) triplets. Among them, the triangle is a steady and important motif structure in the network, and other various motifs different from the triangle also indicate rich semantic relationships.
