Introduction: Iatrogenic injury to the ilioinguinal nerve and its branches during anterior inguinal hernia repair is a cause of chronic inguinal pain in up to 12 % of patients undergoing this operation. The risk of nerve injury is high, given the nerves' relatively small caliber and strictly-confined space through which they pass. In the current report, we describe using a novel fluorescence imaging system developed to detect nerve autofluorescence in a 66-year-old man who presented with a left-sided Type II inguinal hernia and underwent inguinal hernioplasty.

Objectives: To quantify the direct and indirect costs associated with injuries in professional men's cricket from 2015/16 to 2021/22 and to report the association between the cost of injuries and team success.

Context: There is a minimal number of studies of under-21-year-old national football teams, and the literature is injury centric. Particularly, current knowledge is deficient regarding noninjurious medical conditions, such as illnesses and diseases.

Purpose: To describe a rare case of infectious keratitis secondary to Brevundimonas diminuta, a gram-negative bacillus with fluoroquinolone resistance and rare clinical isolation.

Methods: A 50-year-old man with contact lens overuse presented with a large corneal ulcer and hand motion visual acuity. Initial treatment with fortified topical tobramycin and vancomycin yielded slow improvement, and initial culture grew Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus hominis, and Corynebacterium bovis.
