Thermodynamic model of bacterial transcription.

Transcriptional pausing is highly regulated by the template DNA and nascent transcript sequences. Here, we propose a thermodynamic model of transcriptional pausing, based on the thermal energy of transcription bubbles and nascent RNA structures, to describe the kinetics of the reaction pathways between active translocation, elemental, backtracked, and hairpin-stabilized pauses. The model readily predicts experimentally detected pauses in high-resolution optical-tweezer measurements of transcription. Unlike other models, it also predicts the effect of tension and the GreA transcription factor on pausing.

A new prediction model based on deep learning for pig house environment.

A prediction model of the pig house environment based on Bayesian optimization (BO), squeeze and excitation block (SE), convolutional neural network (CNN) and gated recurrent unit (GRU) is proposed to improve the prediction accuracy and animal welfare and take control measures in advance. To ensure the optimal model configuration, the model uses a BO algorithm to fine-tune hyper-parameters, such as the number of GRUs, initial learning rate and L2 normal form regularization factor. The environmental data are fed into the SE-CNN block, which extracts the local features of the data through convolutional operations.

Based on the engineering example of Linsheng coal mine, this paper uses TF1M3D computer simulation platform to systematically analyze the process of smoke flow spreading and air flow disorder disaster from the perspective of the whole mine network, and puts forward corresponding plans and measures. A small scale similar experiment was carried out to study the updraft flow fire in the mine. Through the analysis of the collected experimental data, the variation law of the air volume of the fire source in the main air path, side branch road and total air path with different air volume and the variation characteristics of the temperature at the monitoring point with time were obtained under different air volume conditions, and the critical air volume was fitted as 1.

A key tenet of the Transactional Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics is the idea that photon absorption localizes the absorbing material system. In doing so, it measures the location of the absorber and hence reduces information entropy which in turn needs to be balanced by appropriate entropy production, if there is a link between information entropy and thermodynamic entropy. Based on a critical analysis of the physics of information erasure, we clarify the link between information and thermodynamic entropy and develop a rigorous model of entropy production in photon-absorption processes.
