Background: We investigated the utility of specific biomarkers-namely, c-terminal telopeptide (CTX), n-telopeptide (NTX), deoxypyridinoline (DPD), and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP)-compared to conventional diagnostic methods. We hy-pothesized that these novel biomarkers could hold substantial value in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of osteoporosis.
Methods: The study was conducted over a three-year period, from January 1, 2020, to January 1, 2023.

The present study aimed to investigate the effect of various adjuvant rice on the quality of rice-steamed Rehmanniae Radix(RSRR) with Japonica rice, millet, yellow rice, black rice, and glutinous rice as raw materials, and analyze the anti-osteoporosis effect of RSRR by the optimal adjuvant rice. On the basis of the established UPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of the content of catalpol and rehmannioside D, comprehensive weighted scoring method was employed to evaluate the effect of various auxiliary rice on the quality of RSRR with the content of catalpol and rehmannioside D, character score, and taste score as indicators to optimize adjuvant rice. The osteoporosis model was induced by ovariectomy in rats.

Background: The goal of this study is to compare mortality, major adverse events, and complication rates after the surgical treatment of proximal humeral fractures with locked plate fixation (LPF) versus reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) in elderly patients.
Methods: Health insurance data from patients aged 65 and above for the period January 2010 to September 2018 were retrospectively evaluated. The median follow-up duration after LPF (40 419 patients) or RTSA (13 552 patients) was 52 months.

Objective: To observe the clinical results of proximal femoral nail anti-rotation (PFNA) combined with zoledronic acid injection in the treatment of osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly.
Methods: 60 elderly patients with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures were diagnosed using a dual energy X-ray bone density instrument. Patients were randomly divided into treatment or control groups (30 cases in each group).
