Livestock wastewater is an important reservoir of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), with high environmental risks. We investigated the seasonal variations of distribution and removal of swine wastewater originated high-risk tetracycline resistance genes (TRGs) in horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetlands. The effects of exogenous addition of tetracycline (TC) and copper ion (Cu) on the abundance of TRGs in effluent with single and combined pollution of antibiotic and heavy metal were studied. The results showed that all the three high-risk TRGs (, and ) were detected in swine wastewater. Wetlands could effectively reduce the ARGs, with the absolute abundance of TRGs in effluent being decreased by 1.1-2.4 and 1.7-2.9 orders of magnitude in summer and winter compared with the influent, respectively. The abundance of TRGs in wetland soils showed the characte-ristics that the outflow side was lower than the inflow side, the non-rhizosphere area was lower than the rhizosphere area, and lower in winter than in summer. In summer and winter, single and combined pollution of TC and Cu in swine wastewater would increase the abundance of TRGs in effluent compared with that in the control. The constructed wetland is suitable for controlling the environmental diffusion of ARGs in livestock wastewater.

Objective: Telomeres, made of repetitive DNA sequences and shelterin complexes, which were found at the ends of chromosomes and had been extensively studied in cancer research. However, in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was still relatively scarce. In this study, we investigated the correlation between telomerase-related genes (TRGs) and the prognosis and immunotherapy of HCC patients to enhance clinical outcomes.

The distribution and transmission of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in agricultural soils constitute a significant threat to food safety and human health. Natural quorum sensing inhibitors (QSIs), with advantages such as low plant toxicity and low application costs, present a potential approach for mitigating ARG contamination by targeting bacterial quorum sensing systems. This study explored the impacts and mechanisms of three natural QSIs (vanillin, catechin, and tannin) on the abundance of tetracycline resistance genes (TRGs) in both rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soils.

The rapid global emergence of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) is a substantial public health concern. Livestock manure serves as a key reservoir for tetracycline resistance genes (TRGs), serving as a means of their transmission to soil and vegetables upon utilization as a fertilizer, consequently posing a risk to human health. The dynamics and transfer of TRGs among microorganisms in vegetables and fauna are being investigated.

Aims: An increasing number of studies have highlighted the biological significance of neutrophil activation and polarization in tumor progression. However, the characterization of tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) is inadequately investigated.
Materials And Methods: Patients' expression profiles were obtained from TCGA, GEO, and IMvigor210 databases.
