Objective: Preschool children are in a period of rapid physical development, and improving their gross motor skills and physical fitness is quite important for their health. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a structured physical training program in improving Chinese preschool children's gross motor development and physical fitness.
Method: A sample of 80 children aged 4 to 5 from Fujian, China, were randomly assigned to the intervention group ( = 41), which received a 15-week structured physical training, while the control group ( = 39) continued with their daily physical activity.

Introduction Transitioning from a medical student to a foundation doctor presents numerous challenges, particularly in managing on-call duties that require quick decision-making, clinical skills, and prioritisation under pressure. The Simulation On-Call (SOC) program was developed as a one-day, immersive simulation event to equip final-year medical students with the skills and confidence needed for these responsibilities. However, we argue that there is a need to revisit the core values of the approach in order to ensure that participatory methods remain meaningful, effective and authentic. This should entail rigorously examining 'why' and 'how' to approach participatory methods - not merely outlining the 'what' and 'when'.

Background: Protocols instituted for behavioral treatment and skills training programs for the management of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) suffer from lack of collaborative approaches. The tenets of interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP) focus on preparing a panel of health care professionals (HCPs) from different professions who can work together to enable the common goal of ensuring that children with ASD can participate in society. This study was designed to pilot this approach through an IPCP training module on ASD for care providers from multiple professions.
