The separation of ten flavanones (flavanone, 2'-hydroxyflavanone, 4'-hydroxyflavanone, 6-hydroxyflavanone, 7-hydroxyflavanone, naringenin, naringin, hesperetin, pinostrobin, and taxifolin) using supercritical fluid chromatography and considering achiral and chiral approaches has been studied in this work. For this purpose, different stationary phases and organic modifiers have been checked. Considering the achiral separation, the best results were obtained with the Lichrospher 100 Diol column at 35 °C, 3 mL/min, 150 bar and a gradient of 2-propanol from 5% to 50%. The baseline separation of the ten compounds was achieved in 18 min. Using the chiral column Chiralpak AD, the separation of the ten pairs of enantiomers was obtained in 32 min. In this case, the chromatographic conditions were 30 °C, 3 mL/min, 150 bar and the organic modifier was a mixture ethanol/methanol (80:20) containing 0.1% of trifluoroacetic acid applied in an elution gradient from 15% to 50%. The applicability of the proposed chiral method was assessed by analysing bee pollen samples and 2S-pinostrobin was determined in some of them.

Categorization systems for tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) infection lack consistency in classifying disease severity. To evaluate the need for a standard, consensus-based categorisation system for TBEV infection across subtypes, we gathered an expert panel of clinicians and scientists with diverse expertise in TBEV infection. Consensus was sought using the Delphi technique, which consisted of 2 web-based survey questionnaires and a final, virtual, consensus-building exercise.

The simultaneous separation of the enantiomers of six anticoagulant rodenticides, derived from 4-hydroxycoumarin, has been studied in this work. Ten different stationary phases (zwitterionic, Pirkle-type, polysaccharides and macrocyclic antibiotics derivatives) were evaluated by using supercritical fluid chromatography coupled to two different detectors (circular dichroism and mass spectrometry-single quadrupole). The effect of the type of organic modifier and temperature on the chiral separation was investigated, and the best results were obtained with the column Regis S,S-Whelk-O1 at 25 °C when using a gradient elution program with methanol as organic modifier.

Objective: The study aimed to explore the role of metabolism-related proteins and their correlation with clinical data in predicting the prognosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Methods: This research involves a secondary analysis of proteomic data derived from endometrial samples collected from our study group, which includes 33 PCOS patients and 7 control subjects. A comprehensive identification and analysis of 4425 proteins were conducted to screened differentially expressed proteins (DEPs).

Covalent-organic frameworks (COFs), characterized by their exceptional light absorption and ordered architecture, have emerged as potential candidates for photocatalytic hydrogen production. In this work, we discovered that the incorporation of fluorine into the sub-nanocavity of azine-linked COF (TF-COF) not only augments its hydrophobicity but also strengthens the interaction between Pt cocatalysts and COFs. In an effort to enhance photocatalytic water splitting efficiency, we integrated the hydrophobic TF-COF with the hydrophilic carbon nitride (CN) to construct a hydrophilic/hydrophobic heterojunction (CTF-x heterojunction).
