Rational design and constructing earth-abundant electrocatalysts for efficient electrocatalytic water splitting is a crucial challenge. Herein, we report a simple and efficient one-step electrochemical synthetic route of the NiFeO@FeOOH composite electrocatalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction. The unique morphology of the NiFeO nanoflowers loaded on FeOOH nanosheets allows more active sites to be exposed and promote charge transfer as well as gas release, and the resulting electrode enables a current density of 10 mA cm at a low overpotential of 255 mV with outstanding stability at a current density of 100 mA cm for 300 h.

Introduction: Lung function has been associated with cognitive decline and dementia, but the extent to which lung function impacts brain structural changes remains unclear. We aimed to investigate the association of lung function with structural macro- and micro-brain changes across mid- and late-life.
Methods: The study included a total of 37 164 neurologic disorder-free participants aged 40-70 years from the UK Biobank, who underwent brain MRI scans 9 years after baseline.

Background: Risk factors and mechanisms of cognitive impairment (CI) after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) are unclear. This study used a neuropsychological battery, MRI, ERP and CSF and plasma biomarkers to predict long-term cognitive impairment after aSAH.
Materials And Methods: 214 patients hospitalized with aSAH (n = 125) or unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA) (n = 89) were included in this prospective cohort study.

Purpose Of Review: This narrative review discusses the mechanisms connecting gut dysbiosis to adverse clinical outcomes in critically ill patients and explores potential therapeutic strategies.
Recent Findings: In recent years, the study of microbiota in ICUs has gained attention because of its potential effects on patient outcomes. Critically ill patients often face severe conditions, which can compromise their immune systems and lead to opportunistic infections from bacteria typically harmless to healthy individuals.

Mechanoresponsive colloidal photonic crystals embedded in elastic solid matrices exhibit tunable optical properties under mechanical force, showing great potential for various applications. However, the response of colloidal crystals embedded in a liquid matrix remains largely unexplored. In this study, we investigate the structural and optical transitions of colloidal crystals composed of particles suspended in a liquid oligomer under pressing and shear forces.

Some lactic acid bacteria such as or contain genes encoding 4,6-α-glucanotransferases. These enzymes convert starch and maltodextrins into isomalto/malto-polysaccharides (IMMPs). Many studies focused on the properties of recombinant glucanotransferases, but limited knowledge is available on fermentative synthesis.
