Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate if bioceramic sealers had superior sealing properties to epoxy resin-based sealers.
Methodology: A systematic search was performed in the following databases: MEDLINE Ovid (from 1946 onwards), Scopus, Google Scholar, EBSCO, and a hand search of references of included articles was also done. In vitro and ex vivo studies were included. Risk of bias was assessed, and quantitative synthesis was performed for microleakage measured using vertical dye penetration, horizontal dye penetration, and dentin-sealer gap. Summary effect was reported as Standardized Mean Difference with 95% CI. Subgroup analysis was performed based on the imaging modalities, the obturation techniques, and the file systems employed.
Results: A total of 24 studies were included. Meta-analysis demonstrated no significant difference between the sealing ability of bioceramic sealer and epoxy resin-based sealer when measured using the microleakage tests [SMD -0.59(95%CI: 1.74,0.55)]. Subgroup analysis revealed no significant differences except when manual K-files were used. Heterogeneity was low when sub-group analysis was done.
Conclusion: Bioceramic sealers and epoxy resin-based sealers both exhibited comparable sealing ability.

Emergency bleeding presents significant challenges such as high blood flow and rapid hemorrhaging. However, many existing hemostatic bandages face limitations, including the uncontrolled release of hemostatic agents, insufficient mechanical strength, poor adhesion, and complex manufacturing processes. To address these limitations, we developed a multifunctional hydrogel bandage for emergency hemostasis using a one-pot synthesis method.

Microtextured microneedles are tiny needle-like structures with micron-scale microtextures, and the drugs stored in the microtextures can be released after entering the skin to achieve the effect of precise drug delivery. In this study, the skin substitution model of Ogden's hyperelastic model and the microneedle array and microtexture models with different geometrical parameters were selected to simulate and analyse the flow of the microtexture microneedle arrays penetrating the skin by the finite-element method, and the length of the microneedles was determined to be 200 μm, the width 160 μm, and the value of the gaps was determined to be 420 μm. A four-pronged cone was chosen as the shape of microneedles, and a rectangle was chosen as the shape of the drug-carrying microneedle.

Nonfreezing short-term storage may provide safe and simple transportation and promote the practical use of MSCs. We aimed to determine the duration of efficient storage at ambient temperature (22°C) of human dermal MSCs in different three-dimensional organization and to investigate the role of cell metabolic mode in the resistance to the ambient storage damaging factors.

Purpose: This study was aimed to compare the difference between iRoot SP and AH Plus on root canal sealing ability for teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis and explore whether the dentin tubule pathway plays an important role in the development of endodontic-periodontic lesions(EPL), in order to provide a theoretical basis for selection of proper time for root canal therapy and suitable root canal sealants in patients with EPL.
Methods: Fifty single-root anterior teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis were selected. The roots were completely debrided to remove the calculus, dental plaque and cementum.

Statement Of The Problem: The creation of a proper seal of the root canal with canal-filling materials, such as gutta-percha and sealer, is one of the essential factors in the success of root canal treatment. In addition, the penetration depth of the sealer is one of the influential factors in creating a proper seal, which improves the sealing ability of the canal and the burial of microorganisms.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effect of cold atmospheric plasma on the depth of tubular penetration of two types of resin sealer: AH26 and Beta RCS sealers.
